New Entrants
~ No debuts this week, unfortunately. I'm not surprised though because I've noticed a lack of Hit-Bound music this week. However, we did get a re-entry from Cobra Starship/Icona Pop – Never Been In Love at #44. These re-entrants are just plain out random sometimes.
Never Blurbed In Love
~ Taylor Swift – Shake It Off has now tied the record for most weeks at #1 with Carly Rae Jepsen – Call Me Maybe and Pitbull/Ke$ha – Timber with nine weeks. Keep doing what you're doing Taylor.
~ Calvin Harris/John Newman – Blame continues descending slowly. Please start moving up again. :(
~ I'm still trying to figure out why and how Hozier – Take Me To Church had the Biggest DROP!!!... Of The Week. The song is really popular spending quite a while towards the top of the iTunes charts.
~ Iggy Azalea/Rita Ora – Black Widow is fading away pretty quickly. I'm actually not sick of it yet.
~ Ed Sheeran – Don't and Tove Lo – Habits need to leave the Top 10.
~ I'm spending a lot of time wondering how MisterWives – Reflections is on this countdown, let alone at #26.
WE INTERRUPT THIS PROGRAM TO BRING YOU IMPORTANT HIT-BOUND NOTES.
~ Bebe Rexha – I Can't Stop Drinking About You IS STILL ON HIT-BOUND!!! It's been on there almost as long as The Wanted – We Own The Night from last year!
~ Mary J. Blige – Right Now has apparently been replaced with the song she performed at the AMA's, Therapy, on Hit-Bound. They're both really good.
~ Priory – Weekend and Meghan Trainor – Lips Are Movin' are probably the only bad songs on Hit-Bound.
~ I swear, some of these songs on Hit-Bound have been on there for quite a while. Obviously, I Can't Stop Drinking About You. But also songs like Eden XO – (Not) Too Cool To Dance and Magic! – Let Your Hair Down.
WE NOW RETURN TO YOUR REGULAR SCHEDULED PROGRAMS.
~ If you listened to Hits 1 on the SiriusXM app like me, you should've noticed that half of the songs Hits 1 played had the wrong album covers. They should probably fix that.
~ Later in December, I'm gonna give my Top 45 songs of the year. And at this point, no more entrants will be qualified for the Top 45. All the debuts from here on out will be the songs looked at first for the Top 45 songs of 2015. The only exception to this is Bebe Rexha – I Can't Stop Drinking About You because I've known the song since August. If it debuts before the end of the year, it will be qualified to appear in the Top 45 Songs Of 2014.
~ If you haven't already checked out my Hit 45 Chart for this week, click here to find out if Calvin Harris/John Newman – Blame will hold #1 for a tenth week in a row!
~ I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and if you went out for Black Friday, you didn't get killed by crazy shoppers.

I honestly have NO IDEA how long Shake It Off is going to stay at #1. But, it'll probably break the record. Unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteYes it will stay there at least until Blank Space is in the top 10. Jack
ReplyDeleteWelll...Blank Space is already at #8.
Delete:O

ReplyDelete-Nix
Don't worry Nix Alesso/Tove Lo-We Could Be Heroes will jump more next week.Jack
ReplyDeleteElla Henderson is now my celebrity crush. :3
ReplyDeleteBest song on Hit-Bound: Yellow Flicker Beat by far.
ReplyDeleteWorst song on Hit-Bound: The worst? Hit-Bound is full of good songs right now... maybe Break The Rules?
(and only because I haven't heard Mary J. Blige – Therapy yet.)
Hey Trance do you want Ella Henderson-Ghost to enter the top 10? My favorite song on Hitbound is The Script-Superheroes and the worst song on Hitbound is Charli XCX-Break The Rules. Jack
ReplyDeleteOf course! It's a great song!
DeleteWell…I guess you can say that…My Sweet Summer is gone. :D
ReplyDeleteBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
DeleteWhy did My Sweet Summer have to leave and NBIL have to re-enter?
And did anyone else hear Break The Rules twice on Hit-bound?
-Remy
Technically, it only aired once on Hit-Bound. We heard it twice because the first time they played it was during an intermission between the countdown and Hit-Bound. They want to go according to schedule. So because the countdown finished earlier than scheduled, they played some random music until it was time for Hit-Bound to start based on their schedule.
DeleteYeah and that's when I heard Heroes (We Could Be)
DeleteAnd Jealous of all songs!
(by Chromeo)
-Remy
I heard it to... I was thinking of Adrian...
Deletenot me i heard hit bound once
DeleteChromeo Jealous aired?!?! :O
ReplyDeleteYou better believe it did!
Delete-Remy
Remy Swift wrote a song called Blank Space that she dedicates to the love of her life, Trance Warren.
ReplyDelete-Remy Swift
Me or Trance? When I saw this comment I was like aww!!
DeleteBoth of us! :,,) (Happy December!)
DeleteActually, 51% of it is dedicated to Lance, and 49% of it is dedicated to Trance. No offence.
Delete-Remy
See I'm cooler! Just kidding.... :)
Delete"Offence"? Are you British?
DeleteAlso, Blank Space is a song about Taylor Swift dumping someone, so... are you dumping HIM?!?
DeleteOh, whoops, didn't realize that. Now it's basically 99.9% dedicated to Trance, and .01% dedicated to Lance (I might be breaking up with him in the future.)
DeleteAND NO I AM NOT BRITISH I AM 100 PERCENT AMERICAN!
-Remy the AMERICAN
This comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteIt's a breakup song, so it's targeted mainly towards the guy who I'm breaking up with. Meaning it's targeted towards Trance.
DeleteYou don't have to worry about that .01% right now, Lance.
-Remy
Just kidding about the British thing.
DeleteAlso, thanks for letting your... feelings... known... *bangs head on wall*
*Facepalm* I didn't read that comment right....
DeleteAw, don't feel bad, Trance! We're still friends no matter what!
DeleteAlso To Lance: What did you read that comment as?
-Remy
So it is going to be forever,or it will it go down in flames. You can tell me when it's over,or with the nasty stats. Got along with all Starbucks lovers and you love to dance. Kiss me young and Mereless. We take this way too far. You can tell me it's over, or with the nasty stars. Got along with Starbucks lovers. They're going to tell you when I'm here. Because I got a blank space baby and I will write your name. Remy are you in love with Trance or Lance?
ReplyDeleteTo Adrian: shockingly the only song on hitbound I haven't heard is Imagine Dragons- I bet my life. Is it good? You should start doing bottom five picks every week How long has I can't stop drinking about you been on hitbound?
ReplyDeleteTo Mikey Rossy and Trance: are you guys going to blog again?
Just had a few questions.

ReplyDeleteI'm just going to expect words like these from Spyder-with-a-Y towards the end of this week's Weekend Countdown:
ReplyDelete"…and you just heard Fall Out Boy with Centuries at #2. Which can only mean it's time for the número uno!
But first, let's take a little flashback to the summer of 2012, when Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe dominated the Weekend Countdown's top spot for 9 consecutive, record-breaking weeks. Other songs in the next two years came close, but none could match this new total.
Flash forward to this past May, when Pitbull featuring Kesha, Timber hit a 9th overall week at number one, tying Call Me Maybe's all-time record. Even I was astonished, and I didn't think this would happen again in a very long time.
But, flash six and a half more months forward to last week when this song tied the record yet again. Through the week, I've been staying awake at night, sitting silently and pondering the possibility of a new record. People, I care about this stuff as much as you do.
But now, the slate is clean, and we've got a blank space, baby, for this artist and this song.
That's right, folks! Holding at #1 for a ninth week in a row and an astounding, mind-blowing, record-breaking TENTH week overall, here's Taylor Swift with Shake It Off, on the Sirius XM Hits 1 Weekend Countdown."
At the end of the countdown:
Delete"There's Taylor Swift with the new song with the most ever weeks at #1, Shake It Off. That wraps up the top 45, and that's………wutchuwanted…apparently. My name's Spyder Harrison…"
Thank you for your time.
And if you miss any part of th countdown,we will do it in about a hour right after hitbound, or youtube 15 With Mikey Piff and Jenna Marbles. Jack

ReplyDeleteReally? I really want Maroon 5-Animals to reach #1. Jack

I don't think Superheroes, Sledgehammer, or Beg For It will debut. They haven't gotten enough airplay. I also think Taylor Swift – Shake It Off will be #1 this week. I agree on everything else though. Also for future reference, can you do us a favor and put everything into different sentences. It just makes it easier for me to read.

Oh, wait, no, the most weeks ever at #1 was Apologize by OneRepublic with 11 in 2008. Never mind, no record broken!!! :D
DeleteBut... turns out the most weeks at #1 was OneRepublic - Apologize in 2008.
ReplyDeleteThat's very nice to know. Our respective comments were about a minute apart!! I guess great minds think alike, eh? :) But, that means it's gonna be all the more infuriating if Shake It Off breaks the record. At least for me.
Deletei want i can't stop drinking about you to debut i been waiting for weeks #bebeicantstopdrinkingaboutyoudebut
DeleteI'm sorry to say that I Can't Stop Drinking About You left Hit-Bound after 14 weeks.
Delete14 weeks does not sound long at all. But then you think and realize that 14 weeks is almost 4 months.
Delete-slaps my forehead- waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah told ya
DeleteWait a minute. Isn't there a rule that says 2 songs by the same artist has to be at least ten spots away from each other?
ReplyDeleteI guess Blank Space and Shake It Off "broke the rule" (get it?)
Thank you for the countdown reviews Trance and Thatchos.
(and how come Adrian never mentioned Apologize when he mentioned most weeks at #1? I guess he forgot...)
-Remy
If both of the songs (Blank Space and Shake It off) get enough airplay than it's okay. I don't know how they couldn't both be top 10?
DeleteI remember on Talk Dirty's first week at #1 Latch was at #32, and La La La was at #30. Not technically the same artist, but still.
DeleteI just listened to CountdownRecap, who said that record was 9 weeks. But hey, now I know. :P
Deletewhat time is the countdown post coming out at?
ReplyDeletewaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Deletehey adrian do u see the comments what u did to me
