New Entrants
~ Meghan Trainor hosted the countdown (and Hit-Bound) this week. I wonder if that has anything to do with her song debuting the countdown. Those of you who have been here in 2014 know how much I hated All About That Bass to the point where it was the #1 worst song of the 2014. Lips Are Movin' was good for a while, but got uninteresting relatively quickly. Dear Future Husband stuck with me longer making it her first song that I actually enjoyed. Then Like I'm Gonna Lose You was extremely boring and I did not like it at all. No is pretty hard to resist. It's really catchy. Her vocals actually aren't awfully out of place and annoying. The lyrical content is a little questionable (like it was with Dear Future Husband), which is why I don't love it. But I like the production on the track. Hopefully, her new album will actually be decent enough to the point where I can actually listen to it.

El Blurbs
~ Shawn Mendes/Camila Cabello – I Know What You Did Last Summer is really locked on to that #10 spot. I believe this is its fourth or fifth consecutive week holding.

~ Disclosure/Lorde – Magnets was destined to decline at some point. I still enjoy it though.

~ Ellie Goulding – Something In The Way You Move made a really nice jump into the Top 10. I'm really happy about that. Now Top 5? Maybe?

~ Along with Something In The Way You Move, we have other Top 10 entrants from two extremely boring songs that I just can't stand. Can we not vote for them?

~ In the Top 10, we have three good songs, five songs that are extremely annoying, one that is about to be extremely annoying, and one that is mediocre at best. Things are not looking good.

~ Troye Sivan – Youth finally made that well-deserved jump. Nice to see it get some love.

~ On the other hand, the massive jump from Rihanna/Drake – Work was not appreciated. I still find this song extremely annoying. I can't believe this piece of trash has been #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks.

~ Once upon a time, we had three Taylor Swift songs all ten spots apart from each other. One of them is really old and annoying. Another is still pretty good and I'm annoyed it's the one song from 1989 that didn't hit #1. And the last one made a floppy second-week jump like a lot of songs are doing nowadays.

~ I feel like this is the end of the journey for Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats – S.O.B.. You're still a song I can laugh at just from the lyrical content.

~ Justin Bieber – Love Yourself clearly didn't last long in the Top 5. Can we possibly get it back up there? That would be appreciated.

~ I'm not even going to comment on One Direction – Drag Me Down's jump back to #2.

~ The Hit 45 Chart for this week is out! Find out if Ellie Goulding can hold at #1 for a second week in a row with Something In The Way You Move.

My Top 5 Picks

2. Coldplay – Adventure Of A Lifetime
3. Pitbull/Osmani Garcia/Lil Jon – El Taxi
4. Troye Sivan – Youth
5. Justin Bieber – Love Yourself

  1. Adrian, have you heard Walk The Moon's new song Work This Body. I really like it. I have it on my I-Pod. I have Meghan Trainor's new song No on my I-Pod also. If Work This Body debuts HitBound soon, I will color it purple.

  2. Man, the one week Meghan hosts is where something sort of interesting happens. Not surprised that Get Ugly and Magnets dropped. They've been out of the mainstream top 50 for quite some time.

Youth finally made the jump that it deserves. I don't think it'll pop into top 10 but top 15 is a definite possibility.

I didn't really like Meghan Trainor as host. All she did really was talk about herself which is OK I guess? but I don't really think she's that interesting tbh. Plus she didn't do the song recaps which made it hard to see where each song went up or down the list.

SOB is still great to me. It's just a fun listen. :D

Sorry to see Photograph go, I still really like that song. It's catchy. :)

Hopefully One Call Away goes away soon. It's an instant station changer along with Exes and Ohs but seeing as it is in the top 10 now, I guess I would settle for a drop to the bottom half of the list.
    Just annoying.

  10. I'll take Stressed Out at #1 over Perfect, or Drag Me Down any day right now.

I love No right now, I was just listening to it when I was coming home from church not too long ago.

The drops from S.O.B and Get Ugly were well deserved.

Dessert should have dropped big time!

I now have an opinion on Youth. Its boring. That is all.

I'm sick of My House at this point.

I'm glad that Love Yourself dropped, its so boring.

I knew that New Romantics wouldn't have the biggest jump, just like 95% of the people on this blog.

    Victorious should have jumped.

I wish that Hits 1 had gotten into Emperor's New Clothes, its sooooo good.

Another song that I think Hits 1 will not have air is Piece By Piece, which is currently my favorite song right now.

Magnets will be missed, although it never really got big traction anywhere I expected it to drop.

Lets keep Good To Be Alive, I love this song.

I cannot get into El Taxi, and I don't know why.

Let's get 7 Years, Roses, and Pillowtalk into the top 10, and get rid of Drag Me Down, Perfect, and One Call Away.

    Top 5:
    1. 7 Years- Lukas Graham
    2. Something In The Way You Move- Ellie Goulding
    3. Stressed Out- Twenty One Pilots

    3. Get Ugly- Jason Derulo
    4. One Call Away- Charlie Puth

  35. This is your Billboard Breakdown!

This week Rihanna's new song Work manages to hold onto the top spot fro a 4th week in a row, but she doesn't have the biggest gains in terms of sales, streaming and airplay.

7 Years by the band, Lukas Graham, on the other hand has the biggest gain in sales and streaming, peaking at #5 this week.

However, Zayn Malik had the biggest gain in terms of airplay, further lamenting the fact that American radio is not yet done with Zayn.

Mike Posner's I Took A Pill In Ibiza jumped up to #10, his first top 10 single since Cooler Than Me, back in 2010.

Our Hot Shot Debut this week is none other than NO by Meghan Trainor.

2 songs that debuted really high last week, had floppy second week drops, like Work From Home, by Fifth Harmony and Ty Dolla $ign dropping from #12 to #16.

But the worst example of this has got to be Piece By Piece by Kelly Clarkson, which was the Hot Shot Debut from last week at #8 dropping to #20.

Never Forget You by Zara Larson & MNEK jumps from #34 to #22.

Exchange by Bryan Tiller jumps from #36 to #26.

Middle by DJ Snake & Bipolar Sunshine jumps big from #50 to #31.

Same Old Love drops from #26 to #35.

In The Night also drops from #28 to #36.

Low Life by Future and The Weeknd jumps from #56 to #43. (Unfortunately)

Adventure Of A Lifetime drops from #41 to #53.

Humble & Kind by Tim McGraw jumps from #67 to #57.

Don't Let Me Down jumps from #76 to #63.

Try Everything by Shakira debuts at #66.

Wild Things jumps from #80 to #69.

I Know What You Did Last Summer drops from #61 to #71.

New Romantics re-enters the Hot 100 at #73.

Kendrick Lamar's new song titled Untitled 02 | 06.23.2014 debuts at #79, as well as Untitled 07 | 2014 - 2016. (Yeah, I don't know what to make of this one either, so just go with it)

Break On Me by Keith Urban drops from #65 to #81.

Something New by Zendaya and Chris Brown debuts at #96.

And finally, Get Ugly by Jason Derulo drops from #77 to #97.

I'm Miles, and this was your Billboard Breakdown.

  43. Omg the comment section in this blog is the definition of hell. Just ignore Chase and Parker don't be mean back. Your basically just doing the same thing. Almost all of these comments are Chase and Parker gtfo this blog and stfu. Really? We are better than this fam. We need to end this cause it's turning into a war. I get that we don't all get along and that's fine but we need to still respect each other and say offensive things. Parker says something annoying Miles says something mean back and WAMB10 backs him up. Same with Chase basically. And then it's a whole war with just Parker and Chase. And respect other people's opinions please it's fine if you disagree but don't just say something like what's wrong with you for liking this song? And don't do pointless comments either, example Parker went onto everyone's blog today and typed the letter Z a billion times. And Chase giving his opinions is fine even if it's random. I don't get why you guys get mad at him for that. Just cool it down on the new music alerts and recommendations a little. And you notice how I'm not saying SHUT THE F**K UP there. You guys are basically cyber bullying. Even if you think these thoughts keep them in your head cause your really hurting people's feeling. I'm sorry this was long I just had to say it cause I'm tired of this. And also don't just read this and ignore this. Change! Cause right now we aren't acting like the fam we were.

Also new post out on my blog you'll have to read to see what it is! :)
