New Entrants
~ With the highest debut of the week, we have adult-contemporary artist, James Bay, with his song, Let It Go. Similar to my initial reaction to Lukas Graham – 7 Years, this song isn't really anything special in my opinion. Honestly, there are some parts of this song where James Bay's voice sounds really good, and then parts where it's crazy annoying. The song is kind of boring, but certainly not bad. For now, it's okay. I've definitely heard worse.
~ Our other debut comes from We The Kings with The Story Of Tonight. I like how this song has a very fast pacing to it. The vocals were done really well. Overall, it's a pretty damn catchy song. Not much else to say about it.
The Story Of Blurbs
~ I don't think anyone saw Charlie Puth – One Call Away as a potential #1 song. I still don't like it. It's still really boring to me. But that's just me. Apparently, North America is currently in love with Charlie Puth and just boosted One Call Away to the top spot just because it's Charlie Puth.
~ I'm pretty sure no one saw Rachel Platten – Stand By You as a song that would hit #2. It has now officially peaked higher than Fight Song, which is good because I definitely think Stand By You was a reasonable step up from Fight Song. Now the real question is: Can this song hit #1? I would like it to, but I doubt it. But on this countdown, anything can happen. I mean if One Call Away is capable of hitting #1, Stand By You should be as well.
~ Zayn Malik – Pillowtalk was destined to reach the Top 5 eventually, but I didn't think it would so soon. Unfortunately, this song isn't as good now as it was after a couple of listens to it. I don't know how, but I somehow kind of grew out of the song. I don't really want it to hit #1, but I'll certainly take it over One Call Away any day.
~ Flo Rida – My House finally made that jump into the Top 5. I still think it's a pretty catchy song and I still love the chorus. I'm guessing it may be a while until I actually get sick of it.
~ The Chainsmokers/Rozes – Roses is now in the Top 10. I'm actually enjoying this song quite a bit now. I've grown to really enjoy it.
~ I'm surprised Tori Kelly – Hollow is still here. It's still a little bit of a flop on this countdown being above #30 for one week.
~ I'm not even kidding when I say that I heard Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats – S.O.B. as Ear Poppin' Music earlier this week.
~ The big drop from Taylor Swift – Wildest Dreams to the Bottom 5 of the countdown was very needed. Thanks guys. Now let's try to get it out of the countdown.
~ Panic! At The Disco – Victorious has hit a new peak at #13 this week on its second countdown run. There aren't that many songs that are capable of doing that, disregarding the few times a one-week wonder re-entered a few years later and actually had some success (Taylor Swift – Out Of The Woods, Olly Murs – Dance With Me Tonight, etc.).
~ The big jump to #11 from Fall Out Boy/Demi Lovato – Irresistible really was not necessary, but it certainly was expected due to Hits 1's obsession with Fall Out Boy.
~ Justin Bieber – Love Yourself unfortunately had a little bit of a plummet down to #35 this week. I thought this new album would be a fresh start for Justin Bieber. Clearly not as Hits 1 is still willing to throw his songs out. Even a song from him that was co-written by Ed Sheeran, a Hits 1 favorite, had to drop this quickly. Smh Hits 1.
~ Twenty One Pilots – Stressed Out made quite a massive drop out of the #1 spot this week. We haven't seen a song drop this much out of the top spot since Fall Out Boy – Alone Together.
~ Things are looking pretty good as we got rid of two pieces of trash this week. We seriously need to get rid of more in the upcoming weeks.
~ And finally..................One Direction – Drag Me Down has finally made that massive drop we were waiting for!!! It's about time!!!!!! :D
~ The Hit 45 Chart for this week is out! Find out if Ellie Goulding can hold at #1 for a third week in a row with Something In The Way You Move.

Throwback Pick Of The Week: Kelly Clarkson – Behind These Hazel Eyes
Most Missed Countdown Song: Owl City/Carly Rae Jepsen – Good Time
My Top 5 Picks
1. Ellie Goulding – Something In The Way You Move
2. 5 Seconds Of Summer – Jet Black Heart
3. Coldplay – Adventure Of A Lifetime
4. Pitbull/Osmani Garcia/Lil Jon – El Taxi
5. The Chainsmokers/Rozes – Roses
And now to wrap up this post, I thought I'd do a little Top 10 countdown. Yesterday was Adam Levine's birthday. He's well known not only because he's the front man of Maroon 5, but also one of the four coaches on the hit TV show, The Voice. So since yesterday was his birthday, I thought I would count down my Top 10 favorite songs from Maroon 5. This is definitely tough since Maroon 5 has always been one of my favorite bands. I would say they're at #3 for my favorite bands of all time. They've had a ton of hits that have stuck with me. So without further ado, here are my Top 10 favorite songs from Maroon 5!
10. Animals (from "V")
9. Love Somebody (from "Overexposed")
8. Maps (from "V")
7. Payphone (feat. Wiz Khalifa) (from "Overexposed")
6. Misery (from "Hands All Over")
5. Wake Up Call (from "It Won't Be Soon Before Long")
4. This Love (from "Songs About Jane")
3. Moves Like Jagger (feat. Christina Aguilera) (from "Hands All Over")
2. Won't Go Home Without You (from "It Won't Be Soon Before Long")
1. She Will Be Loved (from "Songs About Jane")
Honorable Mentions: If I Never See Your Face Again (feat. Rihanna) (single / Rihanna's "Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded"), One More Night ("Overexposed"), Makes Me Wonder ("It Won't Be Soon Before Long"), Never Gonna Leave This Bed ("Hands All Over"), My Heart Is Open (feat. Gwen Stefani) ("V")
So those were my Top 10 favorite songs from Maroon 5. What are your favorite songs from Maroon 5? Let me know in the comment section down below. I'm really curious. Honestly, picking my favorite songs from them was a struggle. But I managed to figure it out. And that is all I have for you guys this week.

I noticed several of your favorites from Maroon 5 were Singles/Hits and while those are great. I also find a lot of their underground songs to be great as well
ReplyDeleteBest Underground Songs ( some of them )
Not Falling Apart ( It Won't Be Soon Before Long
Better That We Break ( Same Album )
Secret ( Songs About Jane )
Give A Little More ( Hands All Over )
Etc
And you said Maroon 5 was like your #3 favorite band?
What's numbers 1 & 2?
I'm sure they do have a bunch of underground songs I don't know about that are really good.
DeleteAnd #1 and #2 are Coldplay and Nickelback respectively.
Well I guess I should rephrase that
DeleteBy underground I meant songs from their albums that weren't big radio hits
Also really like Coldplay
DeleteNot sure about Nickelback I might try them out
I hate Nickelback!!!
DeleteChase I have a question that I want you to answer. Why is your profile picture of Disney XD?
DeleteWell, that is just my new profile pic!!!
DeleteLet's get rid of Irresistible already. This song sucks!!!
DeleteDo you like any shows off of Disney XD? Also Irresistible does not suck, its still a good song because its Fall Out Boy and Demi Lovato. Your argument is invalid.
DeleteChase I COULD NOT AGREE ANY MORE WITH YOU NICKELBACK SUCKS ASS
DeleteNickelback has only 1 song I like, and that is Photograph, but other than that yes, Nickelback does suck.
DeleteNickelback is awesome!
DeleteDid Hits 1 really need to have Stressed Out drop out of the top 10 and top 20 all together?!?! And replace it with a boring slog that is One Call Away?!?! This is better than Marvin Gaye, but my God is this boring and so cliché.
ReplyDeleteBut, on the bright side, Stand By You reached a new peak of #2. Can it hit #1 next week? (I sure hope so)
I didn't expect Pillowtalk to peak at #3 so quick. I thought it would never hit the top 3.
Can we please get My House, Perfect, and In The Night out of the top 10 and get No, New Romantics, and Seven Years in?
Once again the exits were necessary, but the debuts are not.
I keep forgetting that Wake Up is on here.
Dessert and SOB are not dropping fast enough!
I'm so glad Victorious is at #13. I just wish Emperor's New Clothes was on the countdown.
I'm glad Love Yourself dropped, I can't stand how boring and slow that song is. Its worse than Thinking Out Loud.
Am I the only one who still likes Good To Be Alive, Here, and Wildest Dreams?
I now really like Adventure Of A Lifetime and Out Of The Woods again.
I still like Kamikaze, no matter how annoying MO's vocals maybe, I really like the instrumentals.
Why is Something In The Way You Move out of the top 10!?!
Top 5:
1. Something In The Way You Move- Ellie Goulding

ReplyDeleteGoodbye I'm going ice skating

ReplyDeleteWhat's the hit bound list
ReplyDeleteIdk.
DeleteThe Hit-Bound list is:
Delete1. Tryon - Somebody to Love Me

DeleteWait, what?
DeleteSpeaking of ZEDD, he has a new song out with Aloe Blacc called "Candyman."
DeleteI'll help you. Type up Clevver news zedd kesha and find out if its true
DeleteLeah, why are you helping Miles out, this is ridiculous!!!
DeleteI really want Stone Cold to debut very soon!!!
DeleteTo know what I mean
DeleteChase, a few things:
Delete- It's Zedd*, not ZEDD.
- How is it ridiculous that Leah is telling Miles about an article that has to do with Kesha and her whole situation with Sony?
- You wanting Stone Cold to debut had nothing to do with what we were talking about.
Adrian, I like to capitalize certain words for emphasis. I thought it was ridiculous that Leah was helping Miles, not what she was helping about.
DeleteThe song "Candyman" is from the M&M's Celebrating 75 Years commercial.
DeleteStone Cold is a great song!!!
ReplyDeleteI like it, but I wouldn't go as far to say great, just yet.
DeleteStone Cold sucks I almost died when I listened to the Idol version of it

Dangerous Woman - Pretty Good Song. Ariana sounds great here. Nothing too special tunewise, but she killed it on vocals (9/10
DeleteRock Bottom - Pretty good, kinda catchy and Both DNCE and Hailee sound pretty good (8/10)
Scars - Not The Best Tove Lo song, but it's still pretty decent at the very least (8/10)

But that's not saying much unfortunately
Zayn's music kinda sucks
But this is Pretty Good. Nice beat (8.5/10)
You Don't Own Me - Decent Vocals and Beat (8/10)

ReplyDeleteCan Stressed Out hold at #1 for a 2nd week in a row, and an eighth overall?
I'm no longer doing my daily 45 anymore, because Its wasting my time and everyone else as well. Besides no one even comments or notices it anyways.
ReplyDeleteI notice it and read it everyday. But I see myself being your only fan :P
DeleteI've been thinking of just reviewing songs, but that's it. If I ever started a blog or made videos on YouTube I'd probably be a reviewer/critic of sorts.
DeleteI read everyone of your charts.
DeleteTravis Scott and The Weeknd are my celebrity crushes
ReplyDeleteTravi$ Scott is not my crush!!!
ReplyDeleteNo one ever said he is.
DeleteSuck it twenty one pilots bahahaahhahaa

DeleteWhat the (swear bleep)?! The album "The Truth Remixes" has been taken off ITunes!

DeleteNew post coming out!!!
DeleteWhy!?!
DeleteI'm starting a campaign to kick Chase off the blog who is with me
ReplyDeleteEthan, that's not nice!!!
DeleteAdrian, Ethan is bothering me!!!
DeleteJack, I don't want to focus on Ethan, because he's becoming the next Parker and Miles thing.
DeleteI've just been sitting back but I'm tired of this
DeleteI'm with Ethan, because Chase is becoming worse than Parker. Its getting to the point where I can't comment or look at others comments with Chase putting stupid and useless comments on this blog, and then say that what we are saying has nothing to do with the conversation. Chase is a lying hypocrite and a troll.
DeleteEthan may be annoying you. But you seem to be annoying everyone else.
DeleteCmon guys! We can't get in these arguments! We're supposed to support each other!
DeleteI agree, Triff.
DeleteChase - Be a little more considerate with your comments. Please refrain from posting unnecessary comments and putting as many Hits 1 song recommendations as you typically do, or do not post them more than once a week.
Ethan and Miles - I get that Chase may be a bothering you guys. But we do not start campaigns to kick readers out unless they are actually causing serious problems such as bullying, which is not the case in this situation. But I will begin to patrol Chase's comments more and delete completely unnecessary and/or rude ones if that will help.
Only me and you.
ReplyDeleteRemember The 1975- Chocolate?
ReplyDeleteYes I do.

DeleteCan Hello stop airing so much and let Pity Party debut the countdown!!!
DeleteCan you stop with these stupid comments about Me, Leah, Trance, and songs you like and don't like?
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteNew On Hits 1: Wait, there isn't any. Why won't they ever add Never Forget You here.
ReplyDeleteI have Spring Break, oddly enough, on April 22-May 1. I am going to Los Angeles. This weekend I have a four day weekend because we get to use our snow days that we never used.
ReplyDeleteAnd furthermore, Chase you need to apologize to Leah. We don't need hecklers on this blog, we need friends. Please be nice. Leah did NOTHING to you.
