Of course after 7 songs exiting last week, we are going to have a definitely smaller number of exits this week. And apparently Ellie Goulding is getting credit for the relationship between Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift saying she played matchmaker for the two. That was some interesting news this week. But on to the reason you're here - the countdown. Before we get to this week's Fresh 45, here are the songs we're saying goodbye to this week.

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Taylor Swift – Bad Blood (+14)
New Entrants
~ Twenty One Pilots have returned to the countdown. In 2013, they had Holding On To You, which will probably always be their best. Especially after listening to their new album, Blurryface. I'm just gonna say that I wasn't a fan. Just like how I'm not a fan of the lead single, Tear In My Heart. The chorus is decent. But that's just about it. I don't see what people really like about this song. It may come around. But for now, it's something I will not want to listen to whenever it comes on Hits 1.
~ Ed Sheeran is back again (ugh....). Photograph is not as bad as Thinking Out Loud. I'll give it that. I personally think Don't was better. But I honestly don't know. It starts off slow, but then gets better as we go on. For now, I have no opinion on it.
Tear In My Blurbs
~ Taylor Swift – Bad Blood is at #3 on its third week on the countdown. It also had the Biggest Jump Of The Week for the second week in a row. I'm almost postive it will hit #1. I'm still upset it's not the Kendrick Lamar version which is more popular. But I guess I can live with it. Just get rid of Shut Up and Dance from the top please!
~ Andy Grammer – Honey I'm Good has officially (and finally) hit the Top 5 this week.
~ Meghan Trainor – Dear Future Husband pulled a Lips Are Movin' and is now decently catchy. Probably not for long though.
~ D. Guetta/N. Minaj/B. Rexha/Afrojack – Hey Mama has hit the Top 10!!! I'm so happy! Best thing to happen this weekend!
~ The second best thing that happened this week was Thinking Out Loud having the Biggest DROP!!!... Of The Week down 13 spots!
~ Adam Lambert – Ghost Town is on Hit-Bound! Let's get it to countdown as soon as possible please!
~ The fact that Fall Out Boy – Centuries is still on the countdown is driving me insane! This song isn't popular anymore! I get that Hits 1 is in love with Fall Out Boy but this is ridiculous! Just leave already!
~ Goodbye Imagine Dragons – I Bet My Life! I will not miss you one bit!
~ Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars – Uptown Funk is finally moving down the countdown! Hopefully it'll leave soon. But I'm sure it'll just roam around the bottom half of the countdown for another few months or so.
WE INTERRUPT THIS PROGRAM TO BRING YOU MUSIC NEWS!!!
~ In some music news, Enrique Iglesias recently sliced his fingers during a performance in Mexico after grabbing a drone. However, instead of cutting the performance off, Iglesias decided to continue the performance like a pro. He is currently undergoing surgery. We wish him the best of luck and to get better soon.
WE NOW RETURN TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMS.
~ I have officially settled that as of right now, Fetty Wap – Trap Queen is the worst song of the 2015. I'm being for real right now. That song sucks ass! I literally cannot listen to it without wanting to shoot myself. It's that bad.
~ Hit 45 Chart is out this week! Find out if Taylor Swift/Kendrick Lamar – Bad Blood will hold #1 for a third week in a row.

~ I will done with school for the year by Wednesday at 1:00 PM. As summer as swiftly approaching, I thought it would be fun to set up a summer soundtrack based on what you guys like. So there is a tab titled "2015 Summer Soundtrack Polls" with a survey for you to vote for your favorite songs in each genre/category. So get voting! The date when voting will be closed is not yet determined. But I will tell you as soon as I come up with one.

I'm not saying that it is you guys, because I have about 30 votes already and that's more than what we have in the blogging community. I forgot to put on the form, because I don't think, this is my mistake, that all categories are MANDATORY. For future reference, please vote in all categories! Thanks everyone! :) :) :) :) :)

Okay. Here's my spiel on Bad Blood:
ReplyDeleteIt's not a bad song. It's one of Taylor's better singles from 1989. And the remix makes it even better. Kendrick has certainly brought his game. It's overall a relatively good song.
I'm just sort of uncomfortable with it hitting #1 here. I don't know why: maybe it's because of Shake It Off, maybe it's because they're not playing the remix, maybe it's because of the rapid climbing, or maybe it's all of that - I don't know. It just seems like Hits 1 has an unhealthy obsession with Taylor Swift. Hey, they could've sent Bad Blood 40 to 1, and I wouldn't have been surprised.
If Bad Blood hits #1 next week (which it pretty much will), it will be Taylor's 20th week at #1 off her 1989 album. TWENTY WEEKS! OFF ONE ALBUM! AND ONLY FOUR SONGS!
Sadly, it seems like Taylor and 1989 will get half a year at #1 courtesy of Bad Blood. Something tells me Bad Blood might even break the #1 record. THAT'S INSANE.
I hope this is Taylor's last single from 1989. Hits 1 needs to chill out and take a break from T-Swizzle. But, knowing Hits 1, her songs will keep stalling on the countdown at least until the next album's done.
So, when Bad Blood hits #1, it'll probably be aggravating. Because I'll know that Tay Tay is here to stay stay. Ain't that cray cray?
Here's my current bottom 5 songs of 2014:
ReplyDelete1. Sheppard - Geronimo
2. Nova Rockfellor - Made In Gold
3. Twenty One Pilots - Tear In My Heart
4. Priory - Weekend
5. Rihanna/Paul McCartney/Kanye West - Four Five Seconds (It's so boring.)
My current lights over Paris award is either Steve Aoki - I Love It When You Cry if it left hitbound this week or R5 - Smile if it didn't.
It's I Love It When You Cry.

I actually heard this one a couple weeks ago when it leaked right before The Hills got released.

Now playing on Hits 1: Fall Out Boy - Young Volcanoes (remember that one?)
ReplyDeleteI remember dat one. I remember when Adrian said that song was tied with Wiggle for worst on Hitbound. Wiggle only made it to somewhere in the 20's. (THANKFULLY!!!) Young Volcanoes made it ALL DA WAY UP TO DA TOP BRUH
Delete***cough cough cough***
Oh, sorry...now...where did that come from?
Hmm. Beats me.
#CantFeelMyFace
YAS I STILL LOVE THAT SONG

DeleteMy very best is Worth It.
DeleteIdk I like a lot! Bad Blood⁉️⁉️

>:D
That's my song'! ;)
DeleteNo it's Maroon 5's song. (Lol jk.)
DeleteNo it's mine ;). Both of them be Real and dis Summer's Gonna hurt like a (you know what!)
DeleteI know it'll probably hit #1. Every Maroon 5 since at least Moves Like Jagger has hit #1 on the Weekend Countdown, save for Animals, but the only thing blocking that waz Tay Tay...
DeleteCurrently typing Curlin's Top 45, and #1 is https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-gtOen1Wwz3A/U90xRy5sQ4I/AAAAAAAAAPs/HVV0hRFtvF0/s800/Untitled-1.png

It wasn't a "spoiler" per se, I think you knew it was gonna be #1.

If you watched, who's your favroite?
If you performed, what's your talent?
I'm in a talent show soon and my talent is the balance beam
Yes, a school talent show. I watch AGT and my favorite act this season is Freckled Sky. My talent is to sing but I can't sing that well.
DeleteDo you know a group from AGT called Forte?
DeleteJosh Page from forte is my first cousin :)
DeleteOh really? I remember that group. They were good.
DeleteI sang in a school talent show I sang Young blood by Bea Miller
Delete~Austin
Geronimo is sooooooo bad that I will change the station every time that song comes up on the radio. Well, I actually never liked this song because it really sucks so badly, it's a definite for the worst song of 2015, I absolutely hate it, but the music video is funny though.
ReplyDeleteAgt is awesome
ReplyDeleteIf you Don't Notice, Fall Out Boy- Centuries has been on the countdown for 10 MONTHS !!! That song been staying on the countdown for too long unlike Geronimo, who comes in second for 9 Months. Anyway those songs needs to leave and never Re-Enter.
ReplyDeleteMy Songs Know What You Did In the Dark, Radioactive, Love Runs Out, Counting Stars, Classic, Can't Hold Us, Call Me Maybe, Tik Tok, What Makes You Beautiful, and Payphone all had a longer than 9 month tenure but there are many more. These songs are no longer in the countdown.

I know some details for this week's Continental Chart. What I can say is:
ReplyDelete1. At least five artists will make their Continental Chart debuts.
2. There will be at least one re-entry.
3. The #1 song...well, all I can say is I heard it on Hits 1 this week...and I stopped what I was doing and danced and sang along. :)
As for the Weekend Countdown:
I think See You Again will be #1. Why? I heard it as the #MostWutchuwanted THREE TIMES TODAY.
Bad Blood will at least rise to #2. I honestly can't see it hitting #1 just yet.
As for debuts: I think Jess Glynne - Hold My Hand, as well as Rachel Platten - Fight Song, will join the Weekend Countdown family.
Okay maybe it is going to be Bad Blood.
DeleteAnd also change that to four artists making their debuts. One of them was already on, and I forgot. :/

Hideaway- Daya
WHAT THE NIGHT IS STILL YOUNG ON HITS 1
