New Entrants
~ Our one new entrant recently hit #1 on iTunes, unfortunately. I find Omi – Cheerleader to be rather annoying and distasteful. When I look at the reviews for the song on iTunes, I see a lot of 1-star negative reviews and I have to say, I agree with these people. I don't know why this song is popular. It's extremely annoying with the excessive trumpets. I really hope it doesn't go too far in this countdown. But with it being #1 on iTunes, I don't see it leaving us any time soon, unfortunately.
Blurb-Aids Don't Fix Bullet Holes
~ Tove Lo – Talking Body has hit a new peak up at #3. I highly doubt it'll get any higher. But you never know. It's definitely one biggest alternative songs at the moment (along with our annoying #2).
~ With Sam Hunt – Take Your Time entering the Top 10 this week, that makes the entire class of debuts from the week of May 23, 2015 to be in the Top 10 at the same time.
~ Fall Out Boy – Uma Thurman debuted on American Top 40 this week. Because of this, I don't see it leaving this countdown any time soon.
~ Is it just me or is One Direction – Where Do Broken Hearts Go not popular anywhere else. I find that very interesting how a One Direction song is blowing up here, but nowhere else.
~ Speaking of One Direction, I keep hearing so many rumors about them. Like I keep hearing how Zayn Malik is returning even though he really isn't. Then I heard that they're possibly breaking up??? I don't know. I'm tired of this.
~ Ella Henderson – Ghost is going on about as if it never left the countdown at all. It is extremely annoying at this point. So I would be happy if it would leave very soon.
~ I already know that Charlie Puth/Meghan Trainor – Marvin Gaye is going to start blowing up soon. Don't believe me? Just watch.
~ That was a little bit of a fall to #32 for Pitbull/Chris Brown – Fun on its fourth week on the countdown. I want it to stay! C'mon Mr. Worldwide.
~ Magic! – No Way No will be unfortunately leaving us soon. Why couldn't this song blow up instead of Rude??? Rude was just straight up annoying.
~ My Q&A post will be up soon. Be sure to ask me some questions. Click on the link in the previous post to take you to the survey where you can ask your question(s).
~ Also, be sure to continue to vote for the 2015 Summer Soundtrack!
~ Hit 45 Chart for this week is out! Find out if David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, Afrojack, and Bebe Rexha will #1 for a third week in a row with Hey Mama.

~ There are actually some really good songs on the YouTube15 w/ Jenna Marbles (my parents keep saying she's annoying, I think she's funny?!). There are two songs I heard today on that show that I would recommend you look up just because I think they're so good! They are:
I personally think the latter of the two songs is the best song on the YouTube15. It's just so catchy! I don't think either of them are available on iTunes in the United States unfortunately. That's just so sad. But since they're on the YouTube15, they are obviously on YouTube. So you should look them up if you haven't heard them.
~ Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there! May you enjoy this special day to celebrate you as a father. :)

ReplyDeleteSeriously, You Know You Like It is already starting to get old on it's 4th week? Maybe because it was aired too much in the past week and in The Morning Mash Up. And also, is Jealous being in a higher spot than Chains one reason why this week was bad? It was one of my reasons.
ReplyDeleteI listened to it too much before it was on Hits 1.
DeleteAs for the Jealous/Chains situation. I really don't mind if Jealous is higher than Chains for whatever reason.
DeleteI'm honestly getting really old of Jealous. It's been on the countdown way to long including, Centuries and Uptown Funk. (Even though I absolutely love Fall Out Boy)BTW I'm also still glad that Sugar is in the top 30 I hope they get rid of it.
DeleteYou Know You Like It was released in December.
ReplyDeleteOMG TEAR IN MY HEART IS IN GREEN TYSM
At least the DJ Snake remix of You Know You Like It was released in December.
DeleteThe ORIGINAL version of AlunaGeorge - You Know You Like It was released back in 2011.
Yyyep. That song is at least four years old. And on the countdown it's four weeks old. :O
From inside out!
DeleteThe Hot 45 Chart is out! See if Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar hold on to the top spot for a 5th week in a row! Hang on to find out. Link: hotfortyfive.blogspot.com.
ReplyDeleteadrian whats up with thw blackhawks shout out they suck WHAT ABOUT THE WARRIORS
ReplyDeleteExcuse me but the Blackhawks are from my hometown, Chicago!!!
DeleteSUMMMER BABY!
ReplyDeletethe twentfirstth question of june is
whats else left hitbound?
The Night Is Still Young, but it'll probably debut next week
Deletei said what elae because 2 songs entered hitbound
DeleteWhat? The Night Is Still Young left Hit-Bound? It got like 20 spins this week? Oh wait...does anyone know if it is the 15th song that didn't air?
DeleteCheerleader also left because it debuted the countdown. We should all already know that that one left.
DeleteSometimes, songs leave hitbound the week before they debut. The same thing happened to Habits, Shower, Young Blood, etc. So I don't think that The Night Is Still Young is gone for good.
DeleteUnbelievable- Just Seconds Apart was the 15th hit bound song.

ReplyDeleteMy Hot 45 Chart blog comes up for the 3rd search result, and Adrian's blog right here comes up for 2nd if you search hot forty five songs blogs. My Hot 45 Chart almost has 4,000! :D Congrats on 400,000 Adrain! It's gonna take a long time for all the rest of us to get there, some longer or faster than others, Lance is getting there pretty quick, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I hope it's quick! I hate being 2nd.... :)
DeleteAnd I dislike being low, but hey when you think about it, we have all gotten tons of success out of our blogs! I never though I would even make it to 5,000(but I'm almost there :D).
DeleteMy blogs have been up for almost 7 months now, and I'm happy to say that my Hot 45 Chart has over 4,000 and My Countdown Blog has just over 3,280!
DeleteOne thing I will try to do every week is give review of the weekend countdown. Starting with this week:
ReplyDeletex36. You will probably be forgotten sooner rather than later. Just putting that out there. (Blue)
45. Interesting fact: The last song to hold the #45 spot 3 weeks in a row was Charli XCX - Boom Clap (red)
44. Calling it: This song will leave next week (green)
43. I was sure this song would leave this week! UGH!! <:( (orange)
42. I'm surprised this one's still hanging on. Keep it up buddy! (green)
41. If this leaves before Jealous I swear... (pink)
40. This song gets more and more boring every week. Please leave soon (red)
39. LEAVE!!!!!!!! (red)
38. How did this hit #1 on iTunes? This song sucks! (red)
37. How is this song still here? Just leave already! (red)
36. This song will probably be leaving is soon, unfortunately (green)
35. Something tells me this song's gonna last a year on the countdown. 11 more weeks will do it. BUT I DONT WANT THAT! (red)
34. I'm finally starting to get tired of it (pink)
33. JUMP!!!!! (Green)
32. The music video for this song was kinda bland and boring. But... WHY THE HELL IS THIS DROPPING????!!!! (Green)
31. Alright, last chance. YOU NEED TO LEAVE THIS COUNTDOWN IMMEDIATELY!!!! (Turquoise)
30. This doesn't look like it's gonna get very far (blue)
29. This song has become very annoying (red)
28. This song is sooooooooo annoying. I do not approve of this jump at all! (Red)
27. I sense an annoying jump from this song in the near future. Seriously, GET OUT! (Red)
26. I now have a solid opinion on this one: It's bad (red)
25. I can't find a way to get sick of this song (green)
24. I think it's already reached its peak (blue)
23. I don't think this one is going to go anywhere (blue)
22. #Expected (green)
21. Hits 1 kinda picked this one up a little too late. I'm starting to get sick of it on its 4th week (pink)
20. Just when I thought this would leave, it makes a jump into the top 20. Okay then (blue)
19. I don't know what to think of this one (blue)
18. I think this will make a jump into the Top 10 pretty soon (blue)
17. Thank you for dropping. I'm really sick of this one (red)
16. Though it's better than Thinking Out Loud, it's still pretty bad (red)
15. YAAAAAAAASSSSSSS!!!!! Let's get in the Top 10 soon! (Green)
14. I think this one's gonna float around the teens/upper 20s for the next month or so (green)
13. It's getting old (pink)
12. This one just debuted on the AT40, yet I'm kinda sick of it (yellow)
11. I don't think this song deserves to be a Top 10 song (yet) (blue)
10. Get back in that Top 5 now! (Green)
9. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (red)
8. I really want this song to hit #1! (Purple)
7. I never thought this would be a Top 10 song, but I'm not complaining! (Green)
6. UGH (red)
5. I hope it's not done with its time at #1 (green)
4. Though I don't think it'll hit #1, I'll be rooting for it to do so (green)
3. It's old. Definitely should not be peaking now (yellow)
2. Thank you for not hitting #1 this week (yellow)
1. This song definitely deserved to hit #1, but I don't want it to become what Shake It Off, Blank Space, and Style have all become now (green)
My Top 5:
1. Maroon 5 - This Summer's Gonna Hurt
2. Pitbull/Chris Brown - Fun
3. Wiz Khalifa/Charlie Puth - See You Again

My Bottom 5:
1. One Direction - Night Changes
2. Katy Tiz - Whistle
3. Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud
4. Fall Out Boy - Centuries
5. Taylor Swift - Blank Space
Well, that was my review for this week. I'll try to do it for every countdown as long as I can
-Brian
Nick Jonas - Jealous should leave because of #31.
DeleteNice review! But, about Bad Blood…for a song that only took 5 weeks to hit #1, expect an infuriatingly long run at #1 and an equally infuriatingly long time to leave. :|
DeleteThe only song I can think of that had a speedy climb and a speedy drop is Timber. It entered six weeks before hitting #1 for the first time, and it left five weeks after hitting #1 for the last time.
Wait……so you're saying Jealous should leave……because of itself…
DeleteOhhhhh that is some deep philosophy right there. :)
You should go check Adrian's post on September - November 2013. He said that quite a few songs have left after reaching #31 in one of the blurbs when John Newman - Love Me Again was on the 31 spot. He really loves this song and doesn't want it to leave after it reaches 31, but it didn't happen.
DeleteThe song, Love Me Again by John Newman already left last year. Twice actually because it reentered. There was also a song leaving after reaching #31 in the same week that Love Me Again reentered, and the song leaving because of #31 was 1 week away from lasting a full year.
DeleteDJ Snake/AlunaGeorge- You Like It isn't old or close to old yet.
ReplyDeleteAlas, the reign of no bad songs on Hitbound ends with the debut of Kaya Stewart-In Love With A Boy
ReplyDeleteBrian's Hit-Bound review:

1. MKTO - Bad Girls
2. The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face
3. Years & Years - King
4. Becky G - Lovin' So Hard
5. Sam Smith - Like I Can
Why did The Night Is Still Young have to leave? ;(
ReplyDeleteThe Night Is Still Young leaving hit-bound after 1 week may be a good thing. That makes it a contender to debut the countdown next week. The same thing happened with songs like Tove Lo - Habits and Pitbull/Ne-Yo - Time Of Our Lives. I heard it in my car on Hits 1 on Thursday, so I HIGHLY DOUBT it's gone forever.
Delete-Brian
Hey guys.

DeleteI heard The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face at Sirius XM Hits 1 twice in the car yesterday and it had a total of 14 spins when I checked on dogstarradio, and the week is only halfway done. I'm 75% sure that this song is going to debut the week of June 27, 2015 and replace Earned It and I can have the Earned It be gone party.
DeleteAttention: This week's Continental Chart is finally OUT!!!
ReplyDeleteCan Andy Grammer cling on to his new-found throne? Or can Walk the Moon, Wizzy & Charles, or the Maroon 5 take a lead? Or can iTunes champs OMI & Rachel Platten rule on this chart? You'll have to find out.
Also, check out entrants from Fall Out Boy, Jess Glynne, Meghan Trainor, and Sam Smith by going to this link:

Last Week's #1: It's alright.
45. This sort of reminds me how Sleeping With a Friend spent [at least what felt like] the WHOLE SUMMER at rock bottom of the countdown. It better not happen to this one. (red)
44. WOAH (pink)
43. Can we please stop adding the "/Zayn Malik" to One Direction's name? That'll just make things a lot easier and less complex. (yellow)
42. Hang in there!!! (green)
41. WOAH (pink)
40. I think it's safe to say that we all want this song to step down and make way for the powerhouse song that is Like I Can. (yellow)
39. Please, Taylor. Stop jumping so much. (turquoise)
38. Sorry, Adrian, but this song's probably gonna be an overall smash. (green)
37. That's enough. I don't want to hate you. (turquoise)
36. This one looks done. (pink)
35. I can still enjoy this one a little bit. :) (yellow)
34. I don't even care about this song anymore. (turquoise)
33. This song doesn't seem to have much life left. (blue)
32. Same here. (red)
31. THAT IS ENOUGH. (turquoise)
30. This one is gonna head out soon. (pink/blue)
29. It's official: this song is going to stick around for a while. :D (green)
28. Huh. Wasn't expecting that. (blue)
27. I expected this, but really? (yellow)
26. WOOP WOOP (green)
25. Please stop. (turquoise)
24. Well…I don't think this song will last much longer. (blue)
23. This song might be getting a little bit annoying for me. I don't know. (blue/green)
22. I think this might hit #1. (green)
21. Something tells me this song isn't going any further. (red)
20. Called it. But part of me thought this one would hit #16. (green)
19. This seems like top 10 material. :) (blue)
18. Has it peaked? (green)
17. Now that was a nice drop. (yellow)
16. I think this one is either gonna peak around here or go top 10. (green)
15. Okay, I wasn't expecting that. (green)
14. Alright, Hits 1. Thanks for proving me wrong. :D (pink)
13. Sorry, guys, but this one has peaked…I hope. (red)
12. Can you please JUMP BACK UP?! (green)
11. Uh oh. This song has officially risen to a dangerous spot. I would like this to not go top 10, but it seems all too inevitable. (red - 2nd place for orange)
10. Well, this one is done. (yellow)
9. YEAH, BABY. This song ain't DONE JUST YET!!!! (green)
8. This one, however…it looks like it's done. (blue)
7. Could it hit #1?! I'd like to see that. (green)
6. srsly? (turquoise)
5. That was a bigger drop from #1 than I expected. But…
4. …at least it means this song gets a NEW PEAK, BABY!!!!! (purple - #tied with…)
3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4WO0mirjlQ (orange)
2. I think (and hope) this song has one more week at #1 left in it. (purple - #tied with #4)
1. Well…I can't really say anything other than to admit the irrefutable truth:
Taylor Swift has officially taken over Hits 1 and the planet. (yellow)
This Week's #NúmeroUnoPorFavor: Rachel Platten - Fight Song
Thatchos' Most Missed Song of the Week: OneRepublic - Counting Stars
Song Not on Hits 1 I Recommend of the Week: Beck - Dreams
Song That Seriously Needs to Get On Hits 1 of the Week: Jack Ü/Justin Bieber - Where Are Ü Now
Song That's…well…Interesting of the Week: Jidenna/Roman GianArthur - Classic Man
Throwback Pick of the Week: War - Low Rider
Aaaaaand that's it this week except for a shoutout to……
JASON REARICK!!!!
If you're back, then we're happy you're alive and well! Stay strong, and "stay classy." :)
For now, Thatchos is OUT! PEACE!!! #Phineas&Ferb
#DeoSitGloria

Wait, wha-?
Delete-Remy

ReplyDelete-Brian
I heard she looks so perfect in the afternoon and i was like oh heck naw
ReplyDeleteI just heard Fall Out Boy - Alone Together in the car on hits 1. It was really annoying when I heard it in the car, but this is a throwback song and it had at least 1 spin this week.

ReplyDelete-Brian
Yea, it's pretty gooood. :)
DeleteI am at my sisters 5th grade graduation. For

My most missed song is Maroon 5 - Animals
Delete-Brian
Mine is John Legend - All Of Me remix.
DeleteMine is............. Glenn Morrison/Islove- Goodbye
DeleteI'm gonna guess Adrian's most missed song and that would probably be Calvin Harris ft. John Newman - Blame because he loves it too much.
DeleteMine is Love Me Harder - Ariana Grande/The Weeknd

ReplyDeleteBoth of them are bad. I hope they get stranded on hit-bound
Delete-Brian
I actually like Hideaway but hate ILWAB
DeleteI like Hideaway and In Love With A Boy is so weird and boring.
Deletelike hideaway but in love with a boy is weird and crap
DeleteHideaway is red and ILWAB is blue.
ReplyDeleteILWAB is now orange.
DeleteHide Away is actually two words. Look on iTunes.
ReplyDeleteI've been listening to a lot of Selena Gomez.

DeleteI'm guessing 5 or 6. There's been a lot of hit-bound music playing this week.
Delete-Brian
6?! I thought maybe 1 or 2! What songs do you think will debut?
DeleteThen again I haven't really been keeping track of Hits 1 airplay THAT much.
DeleteI'm just going by what I heard this week. I haven't checked the spins on Dogstarradio yet, so I'll do that later. I think MKTO - Bad Girls is a sure debut and Nicki Minaj - The Night Is Still Young is a possibility.
Delete-Brian
My debut predictions:
DeleteMKTO - Bad Girls
The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face
Nicki Minaj - The Night Is Still Young
possibly...

Oh, I think that Bad Girls, Like I Can, Good For You, The Night Is Still Young, Can't Feel My Face, and I'm Good is going to debut this weekend.

The twenty sixth question of June is
ReplyDeleteWhat's your favorite artist
Mine is DEMI! Yeah!
My favorites would have to be OneRepublic and U2. If you really take a good look at their music, you'll find it has a deeper meaning hidden within. :)
DeleteAriana Grande.
DeleteHmmmm. Has there ever been a band of artist I haven't hated a song from! Ugh! My fav artist is....... (I really don't know!).............. Silento Silento Silento. Jk, I know I gotcha! I don't have a fav artist. Yet ;);););););)
DeleteI have a lot. Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris (the power couple) are definitely two of my favorites. I also love David Guetta. I really don't know. :/

Bea Miller

ReplyDeleteHitbound Debuts According To Sirius XM Hits 1 Twitter:
ReplyDeleteThe Hey Daze - Dumb
Selena Gomez - Good For You
Why do we only have 2 hitbound debuts if a lot of the hitbound music has more AirPlay than the countdown music?
Our entrants will probably be Bad Girls, Can't Feel My Face, and The Night Is Still Young, with two songs coming from Hit-Bound.
DeleteHey... that's my job. ;(
DeleteAnd it's The Heydaze.
YAS GOOD FOR YOU
