New Entrants
~ Flashback time to 2010 when I Like It by Enrique Iglesias featuring Pitbull made it big. That song was definitely in my Top 10 for best songs of 2010. It was a really fun song and ever since then I've wanted more music from this dynamic duo. Well we got it in the form of a new Pitbull single featuring Enrique Iglesias titled Messin' Around. Now it doesn't come anywhere near as good as I Like It. Let's just throw that out there, but man is it a fun song to listen to. I simply can't resist it. Pitbull did a nice job on the verses and Enrique Iglesias simply nailed his chorus. Overall, I'm really enjoying this song.

~ One of Hits 1's favorite groups, OneRepublic, is back with some new music. I've been waiting for some new music from them in a while. Their new single is called Wherever I Go and I think it's a very catchy song. Ryan Tedder does some interesting things with his voice that I don't think I've ever heard before. I love the chorus. My only criticism for this song is that it's too short. If a song isn't even 3 minutes long, that's pretty damn short. A song as good as this one I should be able to enjoy longer. But whatever. I hope Hits 1 doesn't kill this song with overplay like they've done to past OneRepublic songs. I may get sick of it soon, but for now I'm pretty much in love with it.

Blurbin' Around
~ It was pretty much destined for Can't Stop The Feeling to hit #1 on its fourth week. Though I'm not complaining now, I can already see this song being a problem in the future.

~ Elle King – America's Sweetheart has had the Biggest DROP!!!... of the Week for two consecutive weeks now. Talk about quickly demoting a good underrated song. Yet they kept Ex's & Oh's for an annoyingly long while.

~ I'm not really okay with Fifth Harmony – Work From Home hitting new peaks. This song continues to get less and less interesting each listen. The fact that it surpassed the peak of Worth It is already annoying enough since Worth It was the way better song. But then again, Work From Home is in the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 while Worth It didn't even make the Top 10. Clearly, this newer one is the more successful one for the group as much as I won't understand it.

~ I'm on board with Daya – Sit Still, Look Pretty making drops like this. This song is relatively bland and uninteresting enough that I'd be fine if it kept dropping.

~ Flo Rida – My House is still in the Top 10. I still really like song and I have no idea why. It's just hella catchy. I honestly won't care if it spends another month in the Top 10.

~ James Bay – Let It Go is at #6. I never did think this song would do this well. Its first few weeks were weeks that made the song look like a floppy song that would leave in a week or two. Clearly not with this one.

~ Timeflies – Once In A While actually made a nice jump unlike their last countdown song, All The Way, which fell into the Bottom 5 on its second week before leaving the next.

~ G-Eazy/Bebe Rexha – Me, Myself, & I fell towards the bottom of the countdown a long time ago and it's still here. If I recall correctly, I don't think it has ever left the Bottom 5 ever since it made that big drop. This one is really hanging on.

~ Charlie Puth – One Call Away really needs to take its departure soon. It's already bad enough we've had to deal with this for months. It really needs to leave now.

~ Thank the merciful gods above for the exit of One Direction – Perfect. This song has put the countdown through hell for many weeks. It's about time we see it leave.

~ Rihanna/Drake – Work has been roaming the bottom of the countdown for too long. Can't it just leave already? Out of all Rihanna songs, Hits 1 decides to hold on to the trashy one.

~ The Hit 45 Chart for this week is out! Find out if P!nk can hold at #1 for a second week in a row and a fifth time overall with Just Like Fire!
