So recently, Nielsen Entertainment published their mid-year music report which shows the number of albums, songs, and vinyl records sold so far this year.
Ever since Taylor Swift dropped the first single off 1989, Shake It Off, she's been ruling the charts and I know we've seen that here on the Hits 1 Weekend Countdown as she broke the record for most weeks at #1 with Shake It Off. 1989 was definitely Taylor Swift's biggest, most successful album up-to-date mainly because of Shake It Off and her transformation from the country side to mainstream as a whole. So of course, 1989 is at #1 for most of these categories.
However when you look at the best-selling digital songs so far this year, Taylor Swift is nowhere in the Top 10. Instead, it's being overrun by artists like Mark Ronson, Ed Sheeran, Wiz Khalifa, Maroon 5, Ellie Goulding, and more. This list will be down below.
So without further ado, here are the Top 10 best-selling albums, songs, and vinyl records as well as the 10 most-streamed songs.

ReplyDeleteEd Sheeran - Photograph keeps airing as Most Wutchuwanted. I see a jump to Top 10 maybe? Seriously every time I heard on Hits 1 they had a guest artist announce it as Most Wutchuwanted.
ReplyDeleteIt might even jump into the Top 5! It's got 61 spins (not counting repeats), so I think we'll see another Top 5 song from Ed Sheeran.

5. Robin Schulz - Prayer In C
I think that it probably will not be correct because nobody can predict the future.
I know this was like last year but can I get some of you guys' opinions on the album Forget The World by Afrojack.
ReplyDeletePersonally I find it very generic and bad
The only song I know of from that album is Ten Feet Tall featuring Wrabel, which peaked at #10 on the Hit 45 Chart. It was a really good song.
DeleteTen feet tall was awesome
DeleteOh yes. Looooove Ten Feet Tall. One of those good summer songs of last year. :)
DeleteI hate that song actually The Wrabel version was good but Afrojack's EDM on that song is pretty bad In my opinion
DeleteIn fact Afrojack's EDM is bad on the whole album so I'd recommend you listen to it but it's pretty Generic and lackluster
DeleteLETS HOPE WE SEE SOME BAD SONGS LEAVE for example YOU KNOW U LIKE IT or DEAR FUTURE HUSBSND or BLANK SPACE or CENTURIES or BRIGHT or GHOST and we need a better number 1
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT YKYLI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know You Like It won't leave quie yet it'll just hang in the bottom 5 a few weeks I think. One song that'll jump big is Bright. It'll most likely be back to the top 15
