Yup. You read that title correctly. The terrible Ed Sheeran – Thinking Out Loud is at its undeserved #1 spot yet again. I think the last #1 song that has been this bad was All About That Bass. Also, when I logged on to Blogger, I noticed it said I had a total of 318,318 pageviews. I found that so fascinating and rare that I just had to mention it. Before we get to this week’s Fresh 45, here are the songs we’re saying goodbye to this week.
- Meghan Trainor – Lips Are Movin’ (#25)
- Ne-Yo – She Knows (#45)
Last Week’s #1 Song: Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars – Uptown Funk

Biggest DROP!!!... Of The Week: Flo Rida – GDFR (–10)
Biggest Jump Of The Week: Natalie La Rose/Jeremih – Somebody (+13)
New Entrants
~ Marlon Roudette – When The Beat Drops Out is interesting. It has a nice tune and beat to it. That's all I can really say about it right now other than it being Marlon Roudette's debut single. I guess you can stay as long as you like.
~ Jason Derulo truly disappointed me with the terrible Talk Dirty that I was afraid of what was to come from him next. His single Want To Want Me is nowhere near as good as any of the songs from Future History (specifically Don't Wanna Go Home, It Girl, and Breathing). But it does have an energetic pop sound similar to The Other Side. Most importantly, it's better than Talk Dirty, Wiggle, and Trumpets combined.
And I'll Blurb Your Name
~ It's safe to say Hits 1 hasn't appreciated a Rihanna song since We Found Love hit #1 at the end of 2011/beginning of 2012.
~ Ella Henderson – Ghost re-entering the Top 10??? Can they not?!
~ Flo Rida – GDFR looks like it will have a shorter tenure that thought to be.
~ Usher – I Don't Mind is so BORING!!! I've never heard a song this boring on the countdown in a long time.
~ Natalie La Rose/Jeremih – Somebody seems to be the only song from last week's group of debuts to have the usual second week boost being the only song that jumped more than 10 spots.
~ Everytime I was going to watch a YouTube video this week, the Kelly Clarkson on tour ad came up, which made me hate Heartbeat Song even more.
~ Looks like the life of Life Of Dillon – Overload has not come to an end yet.
Mini Hit-Bound Review:
~ Carly Rae Jepsen – I Really Like You entered Hit-Bound this week making it the new best song on Hit-Bound.
~ Also entering Hit-Bound, we have Charli XCX/Rita Ora – Doing It being the second best song on Hit-Bound.
~ AJR – Infinity is still on Hit-Bound...
~ I could've sworn Sam Smith/John Legend – Lay Me Down was going to debut this week.
~ Hit-Bound list:
~ Recommendation For Hit-Bound: Fifth Harmony/Kid Ink – Worth It
~ The Q&A post will be out soon people. I'm sorry to keep you waiting. Patience is the key in this kind of situation.
~ Just a quick heads-up: Next week's post may be delayed.

Thanks for your hard work in compiling the countdown list. Also I had the Hitbound list ready but you beat me to it. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteAlso is it just me but did sirius xm butcher the mobile app? I do not know at all what they did. I understand that the new iOS system they had to upgrade but the new update makes things like Going back and finding other shows extremely difficult.
Hey I think what I'm thinking...................................................................................... Things got worse for me
ReplyDeleteHit 45 Chart please?

You don't like EchoSmith- Bright!!!!! That's like mah favorite song on hitbound now that I actually heard it all the way through....
ReplyDeleteI like bright
DeleteSee Adrisn ever one likes bright!
DeleteEcho smith-Bright is a good song but I like Echosmith-Cool Kids.Echosmith is a good band
ReplyDeleteOk let me clarify something
ReplyDelete1.this countdown is basically a shorter copycat of billboard if a song on billboard drops it will probably drop or leave GDFR will go up next week due to its rising popularity unless it goes down on billboard then it won't and cool kids is definitely way better than bright but bright is ok
I think the version of lay me down with John legend makes the song weirder but better
ReplyDeleteYeah same!
DeleteMy opinions on Echosmith,Sam Smith-Lay Me Down and Flo Rida/Sage The Gemini-Going Down For Real
ReplyDeleteEchosmith-Very Good Band Cool Kids and Bright both very good
Sam Msith-Lay Me Down. Ok. Definetly NOT Sam Smiths Best. This song will never get to purple when it debuts.
Flo Rida/Sage The Gemini-Going Down For Real. Really Bad. Thank God you deserved the biggest drop of the week. Please leave next week. This is Jack Lambert signing out.
Jack if you read my earlier comment the odds are its not dropping or leaving unless it leaves or drops on billboard
ReplyDeleteSongs like somebody to you and wrapped up are wild cards cause they never debuted billboard
I LOVE GDFR KEEP JUMPING
ReplyDeleteMy top 5
ReplyDelete1.jason derulo-want to want me (debut)

Graham your opinion on hit-bound is opposite of mine lay me down is the best song on hit-bound and I've seen the video for elastic heart WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT it's the same girl from chandelier and no one complained about that?
ReplyDeleteThey are hoes. They have no cloths or UNDERWEAR a and they walk around in a cage touching butts
DeleteGraham u stupid they have clothes
DeleteElastic Heart has an amazing video, literally one of the best ever! There is a lot of meaning to the video and a lot of symbolism. Obviously you are very close minded or a young kid (like 12 or younger).
DeleteI never heard of Sia-Elastric Heart and Sam Smith-Lay Me Down
ReplyDeleteThis blog sucks I am never going to comment or read it again.
ReplyDelete-Remy
Uh, ok?
Delete-a million crying emojis litterally- no words for m
DeleteAre you being serious right now Remy? Or are you joking? I would like to think you're joking, but if you're serious, that's fine. I understand.
DeletePeople: it's Anonymous. Anybody could make any comment and put "-Remy" on the end. That's the danger of…anonymity…that's the word, right?
Delete-TF
That's true.
DeleteWait.what about his chart
DeleteOk here's the truth. It could be Remy but why? She would never say that about a lot she's read since August 2013? I'm just stating my opinion youth and if you don't agree well then..
DeleteLike this.
Delete-Remy
What does like this mean?
DeleteUmmmmm ok then REMY U WERENT ANY GOOD ANYWAU
ReplyDeleteSia-Elastric Heart music video
ReplyDeleteOk. Not great
If I ever put Remy on the side then she will be so mad at me.
ReplyDeleteRemy hated me although ima really miss her

ReplyDeleteHits one is playing is playing the YouTube 15 song INNA/ Marian Hill - diggy down. Yes
ReplyDelete- ommy
ATTENTION EVERYONE!!! IT IS OFFICIAL THAT ZAYN MALIK HAS LEFT ONE DIRECTION!!!
ReplyDeleteHe wasn't my favorite from the band. And I don't know how to feel about his departure. But it's his decision and I totally respect, understand, and support that.
AND ITS OFFICIAL ZAYNE MALIK HAS LEFT 1D USUALLY WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE WHOLE BAND FALLS APART SO YASSSS NO MORE 1D #TIME TO LISTEN TO SHUT UP AND DANCE REPEATEDLY FOR AN HOUR YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS (take G.R.L for example after simone battle's suicide have u heard them do anything?)
ReplyDeleteWow. How rude. First of all, it's Zayn Malik. Not Zayne Malik.
DeleteSecond of all, Louis, Niall, Harry, and Liam all said they will continue with the band and their music with their fifth studio album coming out later this year. So One Direction WILL continue. Just without Zayn.
Third of all, when you do hashtags, it needs to all be in one word. #TakeThisForAnExample. You basically just said #Time.
I feel happy about it in a way. Like I don't know. For all Directioners I'd feel bad but I've been really annoyed with them lately so I'm sorta happy. I know they are continuing and I wish them best of luck along the way! 1D your band still lives on, but can your bands?!

1. Remember how I said that Jealous and one other song aged on me during the week? This was the one. (pink)
This Week's #NúmeroUnoPorFavors: Imagine Dragons - I Bet My Life, and Maroon 5 - Sugar
Thatchos' Most Missed Song of the Week: David Guetta/Sam Martin - Dangerous
Song I Suddenly Really Love of the Week: Sam Smith(/John Legend) - Lay Me Down
Song Not on Hits 1 I Recommend of the Week: Axwell ^ Ingrosso - Something New
Song We Should All Stop and Listen To of the Week: OneRepublic - Something I Need
Song That's…well…Interesting of the Week: David Guetta/Nicki Minaj/Afrojack/Bebe Rexha - Hey Mama
Song I've Started Growing Into of the Week: Childish Gambino - Sober
Throwback Pick of the Week: U2 - With or Without You
Two more things:
I. Something tells me Nate Ruess - Nothing Without Love won't make it past Hitbound. If that's the case, it will probably be the Lights Over Paris Hitbound Hero of 2015. Unless something even more WONDERFUL comes along.
II. I had a weird dream over the week that these songs were the top 2 on the Weekend Countdown:
#2. Jason Derülo - Want to Want Me
#1. Nick Jonas - Chains
Aaaaand that's it for this review!
You can find the other catchup reviews on each of Adrian's posts for that week.
Thatchos is out! PEACE!
