You guys clearly must not have read the last paragraph of my last post. I said, “Don't stop voting for Train ft. Ashley Monroe – Bruises.” Now I know not to trust you when I say to not stop voting for John Newman – Love Me Again.   3. Imagine Dragons – Radioactive (#3)
  2. Katy Perry – Roar (#2)
  1. Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up (#1) [3rd Week at #1]

Biggest DROP!!!: Tie between Robin Thicke – Give It 2 U and P!nk ft. Lily Allen – True Love (–25)
Biggest Jump: Selena Gomez – Slow Down (+11)

Enrique Iglesias is back with the best debut of the week. When I hear the title Heart Attack, I think of Demi Lovato. A lot of people. And this song is just as good as Heart Attack by Demi Lovato. Well done Enrique Iglesias. It sounds like a song I heard before. Interesting.

Also back, we have Cher Lloyd with her new single I Wish. I hated it at first but now I like it. Good because I don't like writing negative reviews and then having to change them because my opinion of the song changed. Well done Cher Lloyd. Sort of.

New Politics – Harlem is in the middle between my favorite new entrants and my least favorite new entrants. I could really do without the part in the beginning that sounds like kids are singing it. That's what made me sort of not like it. I would always change the station whenever it came on. So it took me a while to realize it was a man singing.

We really don't need more Katy Perry. How many songs does this make for her? Unconditionally is actually kind of bad. Actually, the only song I like by her is Wide AwakeUnconditionally is better than Roar. But it's still bad.

Katy Perry – Roar got lucky because it is no longer my least favorite on the countdown. Wax – Rosana debuted and it is by far the worst song I have ever heard in the history of the Sirius XM Hits 1 Weekend Countdown. I don't like the random woman in the chorus singing “What's my motherf**king name?” or in the clean version, “What's my motherfreakin' name?” I hate this song! It better not get anywhere near the Top 10.

It looks like Daft Punk – Get Lucky is on a mission. I don't know any other re-entrant that has gotten to at least #20. (Besides Olly Murs – Dance With Me Tonight)

I'm so sick of Zedd ft. Foxes – Clarity, it's not even funny. If I hear that song one more time...

Robin Thicke – Give It 2 U looks like it may only last 3 weeks on the countdown after falling back to its debut spot on its second week.

Tomorrow is Halloween! Spyder Harrison has never had a trick-or-treater for the past eight years. He still buys bags of candy though just in case. He said that the one lucky trick-or-treater will probably get a dozen candy bars. Honestly, I think Halloween is a cool holiday, even though I don't dress up. It's still fun to put up spider webs and stuff like that. I hope everyone has a safe Halloween. And good luck Spyder Harrison.

The Hits 1 homepage has posted the incorrect countdown. Even the date for that incorrect countdown is incorrect.

John Newman – Love Me Again must really enjoy being above #23 for the first time. But it's not the same without Bonnie McKee – American Girl.

At first, I was glad that Awolnation – Sail was leaving. But now any song is able to land at #45 like Eminem – Berzerk. Maybe it was a bad thing that Awolnation – Sail left...

Karmin – Acapella, you will most definitely be missed. :'(

Our Top 4 Songs seem to have held their spots from last week. I'm wondering when Lady Gaga – Applause will jump to #1.

I've resumed my Hit-Bound Review blog. Just so everyone knows, I have this blog, a Hit-Bound blog at www.hits1hitboundreview.blogspot.com, and an Album Review blog at www.latestalbumreviews.blogspot.com

Recently released music last week
- Justin Bieber has released his fourth single! It's called Recovery. All I can say is it sounds just like his other three singles. Justin basically made the same song four times. I got a bad feeling about this next album. No Justin Bieber album can be better than Believe.

- Katy Perry has released Prism. I am not impressed. Especially with Roar and Unconditionally. The only song I can really stand by Katy Perry is Wide Awake. And that's in all her albums combined.

- The moment you've all been waiting for. Wait for it...       ...wait for it...       ...ONE DIRECTION HAS RELEASED STORY OF MY LIFE!!!!!!! I'm sure a bunch of girls are more excited than I am. Story Of My Life is a great song. I'm glad it's available because I'm not waiting until November 25th to get one song from the album.

I've decided to make a post at the end of the year with a countdown where you vote for the music. It's just like the Weekend Countdown. Except you can vote for any song that has been on the countdown any time in 2013. Vote for songs by e-mailing me your votes at adrianc0502@yahoo.com with the song you vote for or by leaving comments on my posts with your votes. Voting starts on Halloween (Tomorrow) and ends on Christmas (December 25th). No more votes will be accepted after that point. I recommend everyone to vote. It's a countdown controlled by you.

My Top 5 Picks
1. John Newman – Love Me Again
2. Enrique Iglesias – Heart Attack
3. MKTO – Classic
4. Linkin Park ft. Steve Aoki – A Light That Never Comes
5. Hunter Hayes – I Want Crazy
(6. Taylor Swift ft. Ed Sheeran – Everything Has Changed)

Avicii (2nd Week) – Week Of 10/19/13

Huh. I thought Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc at #1 was going to be a one week thing. Well I'm glad it's not. Before we get to this week's Fresh 45, here are the songs we're saying goodbye to this week.

  • Demi Lovato – Made In The USA (#25)
The Countdown
45. Awolnation – Sail (#44)
44. Karmin – Acapella (#37)

40. Robin Thicke ft. Pharrell & T.I. – Blurred Lines (#22)
39. Avril Lavigne – Rock N Roll (DEBUT)
38. Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding – I Need Your Love (#39)
37. Labrinth ft. Emeli Sandé – Beneath Your Beautiful (#36)
36. Krewella – Live For The Night (#29)
35. Phillip Phillips – Gone Gone Gone (#30)
34. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Ray Dalton – Can't Hold Us (#41)
33. Imagine Dragons – Demons (#38)
32. Britney Spears – Work B**ch (#27)

26. Hunter Hayes – I Want Crazy (#40)
25. Eminem – Berzerk (#24)

23. John Newman – Love Me Again (#31)
22. The Neighbourhood – Sweater Weather (#20)
21. Selena Gomez – Slow Down (#21)
20. The Mowgli's – Say It, Just Say It (#28)
19. P!nk ft. Lily Allen – True Love (#9)
18. Robin Thicke – Give It 2 U (#43)
17. Linkin Park ft. Steve Aoki – A Light That Never Comes (#16)
16. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Mary Lambert – Same Love (#7)
15. The 1975 – Chocolate (#10)
14. Lana Del Rey ft. Cedric Gervais – Summertime Sadness (#12)
13. Travie McCoy ft. Jason Mraz – Rough Water (#19)
12. Taylor Swift ft. Ed Sheeran – Everything Has Changed (#5)
11. Fall Out Boy – Alone Together (#14)
10. MKTO – Classic (#11)
  9. Lorde – Royals (#18)
  8. Olly Murs – Dance With Me Tonight (#13)
  7. Paramore – Still Into You (#8)
  6. Zedd ft. Foxes – Clarity (#17)
  5. Capital Cities – Safe and Sound (#3)
  4. Lady Gaga – Applause (#4)
  3. Imagine Dragons – Radioactive (#6)
  2. Katy Perry – Roar (#2)
  1. Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up (#1) [2nd Week at #1]

Biggest DROP!!!: Robin Thicke ft. Pharrell & T.I. – Blurred Lines (-18)

Biggest Jump: Robin Thicke – Give It 2 U (+25)

Only one new entrant this week. And I have to say, it's about time. Avril Lavigne – Rock N Roll is highly addicting. After you hear it, you'll want to hear it again. It has a nice guitar solo. It's a little bit too “Rock N Roll” to be pop. The music video is interesting. This is the crazy side of Avril.

Demi Lovato – Made In The USA's exit was so unexpected. It lasted a short 5 weeks on the countdown. It was on Hit-Bound for too long to be on the Weekend Countdown for only 5 weeks.

Robin Thicke – Blurred Lines and Robin Thicke – Give It 2 U seemed to have crossed past each other. Blurred Lines gets the Biggest DROP!!! and Give It 2 U gets the Biggest Jump. I would have loved it to be the other way around. But Give It 2 U couldn't go down more than 2 spots.

I'm pretty much over Zedd ft. Foxes – Clarity. And now it's back in the Top 10. Looks like we're gonna have to deal with it for a few more weeks.

MKTO was this weekend's host for Hit-Bound (where half the songs are good and half are bad). MKTO also re-entered the Top 10 with Classic. :)

Also in the Top 10, we have Olly Murs – Dance With Me Tonight. This was not bad. A good week overall.

The Wanted – We Own The Night remains on Hit-Bound for another week.

You know how Imagine Dragons – Radioactive kept songs away from #1? Well, Awolnation – Sail is keeping songs away from #45.

Taylor Swift ft. Ed Sheeran – Everything Has Changed is secretly #6 in My Top 5 Picks.

This can't be the end for Eminem – Berzerk. It just can't be.

Recently released music this week
- John Newman released his Love Me Again - EP. It has Love Me Again, which was iTunes single of the week this past week, and 3 other tracks I'm sure you'll like. At least I like them.

- Avril Lavigne has released a new single ft. Nickelback's Chad Kroger (her husband). It's called Let Me Go. This is categorized under the nice, calm side of her.

- Justin Bieber released All That Matters. It is better than Heartbreaker. But it still isn't Justin's best work.

- Enrique Iglesias released Heart Attack earlier this month which is currently on Hit-Bound. It is not a bad song. It's better than most of his songs.

- This was actually released in the beginning of the month, but I will point it out anyway. You guys probably remember Classified ft. David Myles – Inner Ninja. Well Classified released a remix of it with Olly Murs instead of David Myles which I think is better.

I'd like to say something to the CountdownRecap, the guy who also recaps the Sirius XM Hits 1 Weekend Countdown. His blog is at www.hits1countdownreview.blogspot.com. Check it out. Anyway, he's been doing this for just about 2 years. According to his Editor's Picks – Top 5 Songs, it appears that his #1, which has been his #1 for a while, is Train ft. Ashley Monroe – Bruises. However that song has fell all the way to #43. Do not stop voting for this song. This guy already lost Bonnie McKee – American Girl. The last thing we need is for him to lose Bruises. So don't stop voting. And Mr. CountdownRecap, I would like to say good luck with Bruises and enjoy MKTO – Classic while it's still in the Top 10. Also enjoy Olly Murs – Dance With Me Tonight because that is also in the Top 10.

My Top 5 Picks
1. John Newman – Love Me Again
2. Avril Lavigne – Rock N Roll
3. MKTO – Classic
4. Linkin Park ft. Steve Aoki – A Light That Never Comes
5. Britney Spears – Work B**ch

Avicii (1st Week) – Week Of 10/12/13

It has been a while since I was actually excited for this week's #1. Kelly Clarkson was this weekend's guest host. After Spyder Harrison hosted for 5 weeks in a row, I'm pretty sure everyone saw the guest host coming. Before we get to this week's Fresh 45, here are the songs we're saying goodbye to this week.
  • Florida Georgia Line – Cruise (#31)
  • Bonnie McKee – American Girl (#33)
  • Cody Simpson – Pretty Brown Eyes (#43)

29. Krewella – Live For The Night (#30)
28. The Mowgli's – Say It, Just Say It (#37)
27. Britney Spears – Work B**ch (#24)
26. Train ft. Ashley Monroe – Bruises (#12)
25. Demi Lovato – Made In The USA (#19)
24. Eminem – Berzerk (#17)
23. Jesse McCartney – Back Together (#21)
22. Robin Thicke ft. Pharrell & T.I. – Blurred Lines (#28)
21. Selena Gomez – Slow Down (#35)

  4. Lady Gaga – Applause (#6)
  3. Capital Cities – Safe and Sound (#29)
  2. Katy Perry – Roar (#1) [5 Weeks @ #1]
  1. Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up (#2) [New #1!]

Biggest DROP!!!: Fall Out Boy – My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) (-27)
Biggest Jump: Capital Cities – Safe and Sound (+26)

Welcome back, Karmin – Acapella. We missed you. We have three new entrants. Hunter Hayes is 22 years old. That's two years older than what I thought. I Want Crazy is an interesting song where you can tell it is country. What a coincidence that he debuted the same week as Florida Georgia Line left.

Imagine Dragons, one of my favorite bands. They never disappoint me with their music. That band made Radioactive, which was so close to tying the all time record for most weeks at #1 with Carly Rae Jepsen – Call Me Maybe. Don't give up hope guys. I still want you to reach #1 for just one more week. Is that too much to ask? Sorry, I kind of went off topic. The band made Demons. A song that I first heard in a commercial. It may not be able to beat Radioactive. But it can do something. At least reach the Top 10.

Blurred Lines was SO close to #1. But Radioactive kept it away for 8 weeks and Love Somebody kept it away for 1 week. I don't think Robin Thicke's new song, Give It 2 U, has any chance at the Top 5. And I know it has no chance at #1. That is how bad it is. I understand why it had the lowest debut. But I don't understand how it debuted in the first place.

What a coincidence that Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up and Bonnie McKee – American Girl debuted on the same week. The same week Avicii reaches #1, Bonnie McKee leaves.

3 of our Top 5 songs have left the Top 5. And 3 strangers appear in the Top 5.

John Newman – Love Me Again has reached the dangerous #31 spot. Quite a few songs have left the countdown after reaching #31. Why? I don't know.

Like I said, Kelly Clarkson was this weekend's host. She was terrible! In the beginning, she introduces herself. 2 seconds later, she is saying last week's Top 5 songs. Spyder Harrison usually has a long intro. And I think throughout the countdown, I heard the Electronic DJ's voice more than Kelly Clarkson's.

I forgot Phillip Phillips – Gone Gone Gone was on the countdown. The only songs I can remember are the really good ones or the really bad ones.

Awolnation. That's all I need to say.

News for all those crazy girl beliebers: Justin Bieber recently released his new single, Heartbreaker. I have to admit, it's not Justin's best work. There are a lot of negative reviews on it on iTunes. Take a listen to it. See how bad it is.

Here's a funny #1 list
1 Week at #1: Olly Murs – Troublemaker
2 Weeks at #1: Adele – Someone Like You
3 Weeks at #1: Maroon 5 – Payphone
4 Weeks at #1: Ke$ha – Die Young
5 Weeks at #1: Katy Perry – Roar
6 Weeks at #1: Fall Out Boy – My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)
7 Weeks at #1: Gym Class Heroes ft. Adam Levine – Stereo Hearts
8 Weeks at #1: Imagine Dragons – Radioactive
9 Weeks at #1: Carly Rae Jepsen – Call Me Maybe (All Time Record)

This was not a bad week. I accept everything except the guest host and the Biggest Jump.

Now for a mini Hit-Bound Review

On Hit-Bound, we have OneRepublic's lead single off their album, Native, also known as #1 in the UK charts. It's called Counting Stars. I really like this one. OneRepublic just makes cool music. This song can never get old.

Next, we have Midnight Red – Hell Yeah. This song is interesting. Take Me Home may be their more popular song. But Hell Yeah is the better one. The group reminds me of One Direction and The Wanted.

Speaking of The Wanted, people must not be voting for We Own The Night. It's been on Hit-Bound for months now. It definitely has a chance at the Weekend Countdown. Good luck band who reminds me of One Direction and Midnight Red.

Avril Lavigne – Rock N Roll remains on Hit-Bound. It's a cool song. It should debut the countdown. There might be people who don't like it. But luckily, I am not one of those people.

Ellie Goulding – Burn has also been on Hit-Bound for a while. It is a good song. One time this year, I heard Lights. I love that song. And then I look back to see that it had already been on the countdown at some point. I'm starting to think Burn won't enter until I Need Your Love exits.

I can't help it. Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up is such a good song.

My Top 5 Picks
1. Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up
2. John Newman – Love Me Again
3. MKTO – Classic
4. Hunter Hayes – I Want Crazy
5. Olly Murs – Dance With Me Tonight

*I was being sarcastic.

Katy Perry (5th Week) – Week Of 10/5/13

No new news this week. However, for all those Katy Perry fans, her new album Prism will be released October 22, 2013. For all those James Blunt fans, his new album Moon Landing will be released November 5, 2013. And for all those One Direction fans, their new album Midnight Memories will be released November 25, 2013. I will be doing a review on all those albums on my album review blog. Before we get to this week's Fresh 45, here are the songs we're saying goodbye to this week.
  • Enrique Iglesias – Turn The Night Up (#45)
  • Selena Gomez – Come & Get It (#44)
  • Karmin – Acapella (#39)
  • Icona Pop – I Love It (#33)

35. Selena Gomez – Slow Down (DEBUT)
34. Labrinth ft. Emeli Sandé – Beneath Your Beautiful (#28)
33. Bonnie McKee – American Girl (#24)
32. John Newman – Love Me Again (#23)
31. Florida Georgia Line – Cruise (#40)
30. Krewella – Live For The Night (#20)
29. Capital Cities – Safe and Sound (#12)
28. Robin Thicke ft. Pharrell & T.I. – Blurred Lines (#29)
27. Bruno Mars – Gorilla (#26)
26. Icona Pop – All Night (#25)
25. Phillip Phillips – Gone Gone Gone (#19)
24. Britney Spears – Work B**ch (#27)
23. Olly Murs – Dance With Me Tonight (#34)
22. Travie McCoy ft. Jason Mraz – Rough Water (#41)
21. Jesse McCartney – Back Together (#22)
20. The Neighbourhood – Sweater Weather (#38)
19. Demi Lovato – Made In The USA (#18)
18. Lorde – Royals (#21)
17. Eminem – Berzerk (#13)
16. Taylor Swift ft. Ed Sheeran – Everything Has Changed (#14)
15. Fall Out Boy – Alone Together (#17)
14. P!nk ft. Lily Allen – True Love (#16)
13. Lana Del Rey & Cedric Gervais – Summertime Sadness (#31)
12. Train ft. Ashley Monroe – Bruises (#36)
11. Mika ft. Ariana Grande – Popular Song (#11)
10. The 1975 – Chocolate (#9)
  9. MKTO – Classic (#7)
  8. Zedd ft. Foxes – Clarity (#5)
  7. Paramore – Still Into You (#4)
  6. Lady Gaga – Applause (#10)
  5. Fall Out Boy – My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) (#6)
  4. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Mary Lambert – Same Love (#3)
  3. Imagine Dragons – Radioactive (#2)
  2. Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up (#8)
  1. Katy Perry – Roar (#1) [5th Week @ #1]

Biggest DROP!!!: Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding – I Need Your Love (-23)

Biggest Jump: Train ft. Ashley Monroe – Bruises (+24)

2nd Biggest Jump: Travie McCoy ft. Jason Mraz – Rough Water (+19)

3rd Biggest Jump: Lana Del Rey & Cedric Gervais – Summertime Sadness (+18)

It really wasn't necessary for Daft Punk – Get Lucky to re-enter the countdown. I'm starting to get sick of it. By the way, Daft Punk ft. Panda Bear – Doin' It Right has debuted the Alt-18 Countdown on Alt Nation. I told you Linkin Park & Steve Aoki – A Light That Never Comes would debut the countdown. When I used to listen to Linkin Park, they were rock music. Now they have moved a bit more towards dance music. I like that. By the way, Linkin Park's new album Recharged will be released on October 29, 2013.

The Mowgli's is a cool band. But Say It, Just Say It is not a cool song. I think The Mowgli's' best song was San Francisco. But that's just my opinion. This song is at least better than The Neighbourhood – Sweater Weather. There just has to be Selena Gomez. Apparently, Slow Down was just waiting for Come & Get It's exit to enter. Slow Down is a cool song. But Come & Get It was better.

I didn't think Enrique Iglesias – Turn The Night Up would get very far on its second round on the countdown. Especially since it only lasted two weeks on its first round.

It looks like Labrinth ft. Emeli Sandé – Beneath Your Beautiful is behind #30 once again. And it never even got in the Top 10. That just makes me sad. :(

Train ft. Ashley Monroe – Bruises is doing better than I thought it would. It's actually doing better than it did before.

Spyder Harrison actually hosted the Weekend Countdown for 5 weeks in a row. There is usually a guest host every other week. However, Jesse McCartney hosted Hit-Bound over the weekend.

Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up has reached #2. No surprise since they played it a million times during the week. But I would like it if it gets to #1.

Also during the week, they played a lot of Of Monsters and Men. I wouldn't be surprised if Little Talks re-entered the countdown.

How am I not surprised that Awolnation – Sail is at #45 for the 500th time!?

I'm pretty much over Capital Cities – Safe and Sound and P!nk ft. Lily Allen – True Love.

I thought Avril Lavigne – Rock N Roll would've debuted this week since they played it so much throughout the week.

Apparently, Spyder Harrison cannot say Work B**ch. Whenever he tries, something just cuts him off when he tries to say b**ch. It's pretty funny.

Remember when I rearranged the songs into my order. The next week, Britney Spears – Work B**ch had the biggest jump.

I said the albums that are coming out. Now here are the albums that were recently released. Avicii recently released True. Lorde recently released Pure Heroine. Jason Derulo recently released Tattoos - EP.

My Top 5 Picks
1. Linkin Park & Steve Aoki – A Light That Never Comes
2. John Newman – Love Me Again
3. Olly Murs – Dance With Me Tonight
4. Jesse McCartney – Back Together
5. Labrinth ft. Emeli Sandé – Beneath Your Beautiful
