700,000 Pageview Special: Question Survey w/ Lance Warren

What's up, guys? I know you guys have been patiently waiting for this special to come out! So here it is! Before we start, I wanna thank you guys once again for helping get this blog really far. We're getting closer and closer to 1,000,000 pageviews, which is gonna be really big for me! I appreciate everything you guys do for this blog and you're all amazing. So thank you for that.

Today I have fellow blogger Lance Warren with me (not in real life, but you get the idea). I have picked out several random questions from the internet that he and I will be answering. It's pretty much like a Q&A. So let's just dive right into it!

1. Biggest pet peeve about people at school (and why?).

Adrian's Answer: My biggest pet peeve are the slow walkers in the hallways. Like I'm trying to get to my next class and the person in front of me is walking at the speed of a turtle. I typically just speed around them, but it's still really annoying.

Lance's Answer: Oh boy. My biggest pet peeve is probably when people call me stupid because I don't get a 100 on every math test๐Ÿ˜‚. Like boy if your that smart good for you but not me! I'm not that smart๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm gonna move on now :)

2. What's your opinion on school dances?

Lance's Answer: Well I'm like 4 so I've never had a school dance soo๐Ÿ˜‚.. but like I mean I guess they seem pretty chill. Definitely something that seems fun. So yaa.

Adrian's Answer: I'm not joking when I say school dances are some of the most fun I've ever had. I'm going into my senior year in high school and for the three years I've been in high school I've gone to homecoming each year and it was always really fun. As long as you let loose and just start dancing, they end up being really fun.

3. Favorite school subject and why?

Adrian's Answer: I'm really good in Math and even some Science classes as well. This past school year, my favorite would have to be Physics (which is a Science class) because it was really easy and the teacher I had was simply awesome and had a really cool sense of humor. But usually I'd say Math is a favorite as well.

Lance's Answer: in between classes? No okay. But for real, my favorite school subject is definitely language arts. Even though MS ALLISON got me OSS ... ok enough of that ๐Ÿ˜‚. but I mean seriously language arts is kinda chill.

4. Least favorite school subject and why?

Lance's Answer: Probably.... Math? Honestly last year math was kinda lit but other years math SUCKED. I'm not even good at math and having bad teachers doesn't rly help that much either... so yeah, I hate math :)

Adrian's Answer: This is so easy. My least favorite school subject is History. Every year in high school History has gotten worse. It's just so boring and I barely learn anything! This past year, I finished first semester U.S. History with a C, and I don't typically get C's. So yeah, I really hate History.

5. What was your best grade this past school year? (include grade and class)

Adrian's Answer: My best grade was actually 100% A+ for one of my electives first semester called Web Development, which was basically just constructing websites. Literally the easiest class ever.

Lance's Answer:  My best grade was indeed... a 92! (ya I'm garbage at school do what๐Ÿ’€). It was in Math by the way...(yes ur reading this right)

6. Any secret talents?

Lance's Answer: hmmmmm (Just noticing that I'm not unique at all). I mean I'm pretty good at giving advice... sorta... kinda. yeah I really don't know๐Ÿ˜‚ Next question !!

Adrian's Answer: I've been told I can sing pretty well, especially from my family who have to listen to me singing in the shower everyday lol. I've also been told I can dance pretty good as well. That's about it.

7. Involved in any sports? If so, which sport?

Adrian's Answer: No, I'm not athletic at all lol. :P

Lance's Answer: Yes, yes indeed. I play basketball and yeah... not gonna get too much into that (:

8. What makes you jealous (if anything)?

Lance's Answer: really Adrian? This question, seriously? I really didn't want to expose myself today but guys... I get jealous a lot. just like Nick Jonas (that sucked IK). I get jealous when any girl that is my friend is talking to another friend of mine and not me๐Ÿ˜‚ (I'm done exposing now bye this question!).

Adrian's Answer: I actually do get jealous a lot too. I personally don't think jealousy is necessarily a bad thing. But I do get jealous very often. Most of the time, it's when I see my crush with someone else, which I'm sure is a common one. But there are other situations that I will not go into.

9. Any celebrity crushes?

Adrian's Answer: My celebrity crush changes all the time. Right now at this moment, it's Shawn Mendes (just because he's so cute!). But that will probably change within a couple weeks.

Lance's Answer: hmmm. Probably Ariana Grande definitely. There's others but definitely Ariana:)

10. Have you ever cried watching a movie? If so, what movie?

Lance's Answer: nope I don't have a heart sorry to everyone reading ๐Ÿ˜‚ (Jk jk).

Adrian's Answer: I am definitely one of those people that cried watching Titanic. Like I literally could not stop crying. It was so sad. I still love the movie though.

11. Favorite TV show/movie genre(s)?

Adrian's Answer: I love to laugh, so pretty much anything that's comedy is what I like. Comedy movies and TV shows are definitely my favorite.

Lance's Answer: i LOVE drama like related movies. Like let's say a mom dies and it's like a story of finding out the murderer. THAT IS MY MOVIE!

12. Favorite genre(s) of music?

Lance's Answer: Probably like really chill pop and like hip hop and even SOME dance music but not much. So yeahh! Next :)

Adrian's Answer: I do love the mainstream pop music of this day. However, this may shock some of you, but I also like older rock music. I'm talking bands like Evanescence, Green Day, Linkin Park, The All-American Rejects, Nickelback, Shinedown, My Chemical Romance, etc.

13. Favorite artist/band of all time and explain why. (Last Question)

Adrian's Answer: I'm sure you guys are well aware at this point due to how much I emphasize this, but Coldplay is hands-down my favorite band of all time. I've listened to their music all throughout my childhood. Their music is full of meaning and I love how they're able to reach out to different audiences such as the alternative/rock group and the mainstream pop group. I have legit never disliked a single song from them. I know I may say how much I love artists like Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj, but none of them compare to Coldplay. Out of all the Top 10 lists I've done, I had the hardest time ranking their music. But yeah, kinda long answer lol. But I just love Coldplay so much.

Lance's Answer: oh boy. This is hard. I'd have to say Drake... (this is gonna get so much hate haha๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ˜‚). I don't think there's many songs by Drake I haven't liked and I mean his best song is definitely still Hold On, We're Going Home... I mean that song was GREAT! But overall I just enjoy Drake's music so ya! awww this is the last question :( well thanks for having me Adrian! Byeee guys :)

Thank you, Lance, for being a part of this special. I definitely enjoyed getting your answers for these questions. Everyone, make sure you check out Lance's blog (http://hiits1weekendcountdown.blogspot.com/) if you haven't already (which I'm sure most of you have). It's full of randomness that is honestly just really fun to read!

Alright! I finally managed to get that out of the way! But before I go, I have two more things to tell you about. First is the Summer Soundtrack voting! I'm pretty sure I did this last year (I can't remember). But basically, I have a survey for you guys where there will be multiple polls to vote for your favorite summer songs from different genres. Voting will go for a couple of weeks. All information needed is in the form. Happy voting! :)

And finally, since I have so much other stuff to work on, the 800,000 pageview is going to be (another) Q&A post (this time with just me). The link to the form is down below for you to submit your questions. They can be about absolutely anything, but please make them at least somewhat appropriate. I will try to answer every single question I get. So start submitting your questions!

Alright guys! That is all I have for you today! If you wanna go ahead and answer some of these questions in the comment section, feel free. I really hope you guys enjoyed and I will see you all again this weekend for the Weekend Countdown!

New Entrants
~ Our lone new entrant this week comes from (my celebrity crush) Shawn Mendes! This week he brings us Treat You Better, which is basically him telling some girl that he can treat her better than her current boyfriend, I guess. Shawn Mendes is one of those musicians who incorporates actual instruments in his music and I applaud him for that. Some of that shows on Treat You Better, but not as much as some of his other songs in the past. Treat You Better is a lot more radio-friendly. I do have to admit, it is really catchy. I think he did a very nice job vocally as well. Overall, I like this song, but it does not top some of his previous singles that got him to where he is today. I personally think songs like Stitches were better. This is all just my opinion though.

Lost Blurbs
~ Yikes! Ruth B. – Lost Boy pulled an Adam Lambert – Ghost Town dropping into the Bottom 5 on its second week. I do have to say, that's pretty harsh.

~ All Time Low – Missing You dropped as well even though it was Ear Poppin' Music this past week.

~ Sia/Sean Paul – Cheap Thrills is in the Top 10 on week 3. Pretty quick if you ask me. It makes me curious if this song will remain in the #6 to #10 area or peak somewhere in the Top 5.

~ Unfortunately, Twenty One Pilots – Ride jumped into the Top 10 this week. I still do not like this song and I really hope it doesn't stay in the Top 10 for a long time like Stressed Out.

~ It's really nice to see Selena Gomez – Hands To Myself have the Biggest DROP!!!... of the Week for the second week in a row.

~ It's really sad to see OneRepublic – Wherever I Go dropping already. It's a really good song. Seriously Hits 1???

~ Ariana Grande – Dangerous Woman is now in the Top 10. I still think it's a pretty mediocre song, so I would like if it started dropping soon.

~ Speaking of mediocre, Calvin Harris/Rihanna – This Is What You Came For is still hanging around in the teens. Frankly, this song is only getting worse after each listen. Why can't Hits 1 just underrate this song like they did with some of his previous songs that were more deserving of success? The constant repetition of the word "you" by Rihanna right after the drop is so painful to listen to.

~ Rihanna/Drake – Work is still here for whatever reason. This song is still complete trash and it is taking up space on this countdown that could be filled with a song more deserving of it. Seriously, what happened to the awesome and talented Rihanna I used to know? I never thought I'd hate a Rihanna song so much.

~ Along with voting I Took A Pill In Ibiza up to #1, I see you guys also voted P!nk – Just Like Fire up to the Top 3! Great things happened this week, and I thank you guys for that! It'd be awesome if Just Like Fire hit #1, but I'll let I Took A Pill In Ibiza have its reign first.

~ For those of you who don't look at this blog during the week, I did post my Top 10 favorite songs by Nicki Minaj earlier this week. You should go check it out if you haven't already.

~ The Hit 45 Chart for this week is out! Find out if Coldplay can hold at #1 for a fourth week in a row and a ninth time overall with Hymn For The Weekend!

Throwback Pick Of The Week: Fort Minor/Skylar Grey/Jonah Matranga – Where'd You Go

Most Missed Countdown Song: Cody Simpson – Pretty Brown Eyes

#1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Troye Sivan/Alessia Cara – Wild

Favorite Countdown Song This Week One Year Ago: Tie Between David Guetta/Nicki Minaj – Hey Mama and Nicki Minaj – The Night Is Still Young

My Top 5 Picks
1. Mike Posner – I Took A Pill In Ibiza
2. Charlie Puth/Selena Gomez – We Don't Talk Anymore
3. P!nk – Just Like Fire
4. Sia/Sean Paul – Cheap Thrills
5. Shawn Mendes – Treat You Better

Top 10 Songs: Nicki Minaj

Hey guys! I am working on the 700,000 Pageview Special, so I'm hoping I can get that out really soon. In the meantime, I haven't done a Top 10 list in quite a long time. So today, I thought I'd do a list for my Top 10 favorite songs from Nicki Minaj, because I just love to pick out the most random artists to do Top 10 lists for. Nicki Minaj is definitely one of my favorite artists of all time. She'd probably be ranked somewhere in the Top 10 for my all time favorite artists. I just love her music. She's an awesome rapper and she's a really good singer too. Just about all her songs are fun songs to jam out to whether they're the pop-dance kind of songs or the hardcore rap type. I rap to her music all the time and she's just a really cool artist with fun music that I just can't get enough of. So here are my Top 10 favorite songs from Nicki Minaj!

10. The Night Is Still Young (from "The Pinkprint")

9. Bed Of Lies (feat. Skylar Grey) (from "The Pinkprint")

8. Super Bass (from "Pink Friday")

Let me know in the comment section down below and I will see you guys this weekend when I post the Weekend Countdown!

Taylor Swift (2) – Week Of June 18, 2016

So yesterday, I was just going through my news feed on Twitter and found that Hits 1 tweeted something I was not aware of. When New Romantics hit #1 a couple of weeks ago for the first time, it became the sixth #1 song off of Taylor Swift's 1989, which is a new Hits 1 record for most #1 songs from one album. So not only does she hold the record for song with most weeks at #1 (with 12), but she also now holds the record for most #1 songs off one album. So congrats Taylor Swift! Before we get to this week's Fresh 45, here are the songs we're saying goodbye to this week.

New Entrants
~ I guess we'll go from worst to best, starting with Ruth B. with I believe her debut single, Lost Boy. My main issue with this song is that it bores the crap out of me. I'm sure it has a nice meaning and I don't hate all songs that are stripped down like this, but this one is just plain out boring. Her voice isn't anything outstanding and overall, I'm not a huge fan of it. Let's move on.

~ All Time Low have returned with Missing You. I personally believe this song is a step down from Something's Gotta Give, which I was in love with when it was on the countdown. While I do think it is a step down, it's not easy for them to top Something's Gotta Give and Missing You is still a good song, just nothing I'm going to go out of my way to listen to. But hey, maybe that'll change in the future.

~ Alessia Cara returned this week after having the obnoxious Here on the countdown earlier this year. She's back with Wild Things, which has a completely different sound from Here. It's an interesting song if you ask me, and I may listen to it every now and then because I think she did a nice job. I do think I will get sick of it though if radio overplays it. But for now, I enjoy it.

~ Personally, I do believe that Joe Jonas is better singer out of all the Jonas brothers. With that being said, I really do like his part in Toothbrush, doing a really nice job vocally. As far as the song as a whole goes, it's quite catchy. When comparing this song to my early on opinion for Cake By The Ocean, Toothbrush does not manage to top it. Cake By The Ocean in my opinion had the more energetic chorus and was the better song overall. However, I do still think Toothbrush is a really catchy song and one of the best debuts this week. I do think Joe Jonas' voice is what caught my attention most, but the band does a nice job as well.

~ The way I viewed Charlie Puth featuring Selena Gomez was One Call Away featuring Hands To Myself, which made me scared of what I was going into. After listening to We Don't Talk Anymore, I have to say that I am impressed. The main thing I love about this song is the tropical beat and vibe to it. It's nothing crazy, but nothing boring. Both artists (especially Selena Gomez, shockingly) did a nice job on the vocals. This is the kind of the thing I want to hear more of from Selena Gomez. Her verse was pure voice. No whispering, no annoying whistling, no mumbling, pure voice. Well done Charlie Puth. I no longer look down upon you after the boring One Call Away. Overall, I really like this song and it's nice step up from One Call Away.

Hit-Bound
~ Here is the Hit-Bound list:

  • Bebe Rexha/Nicki Minaj – No Broken Hearts
  • Adele – Send My Love (To Your New Lover)
  • Jacob Whitesides – Lovesick
  • Magic! – Red Dress
  • Alesso/Nico & Vinz – I Wanna Know
  • AJR – I'm Not Famous
  • Disturbed – The Sound of Silence
  • Symon – Say
  • Flo Rida/Jason Derulo – Hello Friday
  • The 1975 – The Sound
  • Kent Jones – Don't Mind
  • Shawn Mendes – Treat You Better
  • Ben Rector – Brand New
  • Jordan Fisher – All About Us

~ Send My Love (To Your New Lover) is still nowhere near Adele's best. But to say the very least, it is better than When We Were Young and it's actually pretty catchy.

~ Just when I thought that Magic! was becoming a tolerable band, they release Red Dress, which is a perfect example of why reggae music isn't my thing. I actually liked Lay You Down Easy, but this one not so much.

~ AJR are back apparently. Right off the bat, I'm Not Famous isn't the atrocious mess I'm Ready was nor is it anywhere near that low. Their voices shine a bit more in this one and I like that. However, the rest of the song doesn't seem that interesting and while it's not bad, it's not good either.

~ Brand New by Ben Rector really isn't anything I'll remember in a year from now. It's good, but nothing amazing.

~ Finally, we have Jordan Fisher – All About Us, which needs to debut soon. This song is amazing. This guy has one hell of a voice.

Top 5 Hit-Bound Picks
1. TIE: Shawn Mendes – Treat You Better
1. TIE: Jordan Fisher – All About Us
3. Bebe Rexha/Nicki Minaj – No Broken Hearts
4. Alesso/Nico & Vinz – I Wanna Know
5. Disturbed – The Sound of Silence

We Don't Blurb Anymore
~ Ooh la la! Mike Posner – I Took A Pill In Ibiza took a really nice jump up to #3 this week. My new goal for this week is to do everything I can to make sure this song hits #1. That would be amazing.

~ Grace – You Don't Own Me is clearly one of those late bloomers. It's been over two months since this song debuted and it's just now reaching the Top 20. I'm still annoyed that Hits 1 edited out G-Eazy. As someone who despises a ton of rap music and rappers nowadays, G-Eazy's verse actually flowed really smoothly and added a lot to the song.

~ It was only a certain amount of time until Nick Jonas/Tove Lo – Close had to reach the Top 10. I am starting to lose interest slowly in this song, but I did grow back into liking a good amount this week. A couple weeks in the Top 10 will be fine by me.

~ Also in the Top 10, P!nk – Just Like Fire rose to #8 this week. I would love to see this song in the Top 5. It's still one of the most downloaded songs at this time and it'd be nice if it jumped into the Top 5 at some point.

~ Zara Larsson/MNEK – Never Forget You really deserves to be higher up in this countdown. It's quite ridiculous how it's all the way down at #39 when on other charts, it's in like, the Top 20 at the very least. Talk about Hits 1 underrating new artists that deserve recognition.

~ Twenty One Pilots – Stressed Out really should not still be in the Top 5. This song is getting more irritating every time I hear it. But I don't mind it staying in the Top 10 if that means Ride won't jump in the Top 10.

~ Ariana Grande – Dangerous Woman has hit a new peak at #11. Due to its mediocrity and the fact that Into You is now an official single, I would love if this song wouldn't jump any higher.

~ So I guess you can say that I grew back into Fifth Harmony – Work From Home. I once again think it's a pretty damn catchy song and I can't stop myself from singing along to it. To those who disagree with my opinion, you're just gonna have to deal with it because it's a fun song to get down to.

~ I did grow into liking Daya – Sit Still, Look Pretty. She really does have a great voice. It's not as good as Hide Away, but it still shows how talented this girl is.

~ The Summer Set – Figure Me Out made quite the jump into the Top 20 this week. I still think this song is nothing but a space filler, but that's just my opinion.

~ As far as our exits go, we got rid of three big songs that needed to go. So it's really nice to see that. As far as the other two go, America's Sweetheart was pretty underrated and I actually thought it was a really good song that showed off Elle King's amazing folk-rock type voice. Lastly we have Justin Bieber – Sorry, which unfortunately had to leave this week. I know a lot of people disagree with my opinion, but I still love that song. It was a completely new sound for Justin Bieber that worked out really well. I still think it's annoying that this song did not hit #1, but it did manage to reach #2. While this song is unfortunately not eligible for my Top 45 Songs of 2016, it will always be remembered as possibly my favorite Justin Bieber song.*

*My favorite song from him used to be Beauty and a Beat, but that could very possibly change.

~ I completely agree with both our Biggest Jump and DROP!!!... of the week this week. Hands To Myself really needs to move down and leave for good and Cake By The Ocean needs to drop more at the very least. And it is nice to see Cheap Thrills in the Top 20.

~ The Hit 45 Chart for this week is currently being worked on. Hopefully it'll be out sometime tomorrow at the latest. You can still follow the link down below to check for when I post it. From there, you'll find out if Coldplay can hold at #1 for a third week in a row and an eighth time overall with Hymn For The Weekend!

Update: Where This Blog Is Headed

It's update time! Summer is here and I now have a ton of free time on my hands. I just finished my junior year of high school, which was a pretty stressful year as I had to prep for a standardized state test that plays in to what colleges I can get into. And of course, I had to do some thinking about colleges and where I might want to go. A lot happened and it did get stressful at times, but it's over for the next two months. Now, I am behind on quite a bit of things for this blog and this is the time for me to start catching up. Right now, I'm just going to kind of do a run-down of the things that need to get done and the things I want to do with the top of the list being my top priorities.

1. "New Songs Out There" Page
This should take me five to ten minutes. It really won't take long. But I do realize that all the songs on that list are outdated and not necessarily new anymore. So I will get that done.

2. Song Wars Results
I honestly have no idea when the final voting for the Song Wars competition took place. I do have your guys' results and I'm going to try and get them out to you as soon as possible. I sincerely apologize for the hold up on that.

3. 700,000 Pageview Special
I do realize that we are passed 800,000 pageviews at this point. I apologize for keeping you guys waiting. I will try to get this done as soon as possible.

4. 800,000 Pageview Special
Like I said, we are passed 800K, so I definitely need to get that done as soon as the 700K special is complete. It's coming, guys.

5. Top 10 Songs Series
I haven't done any Top 10 song lists in quite a while, so I do want to do some more over the course of the summer.

6. Top 100 Songs Of All Time - Update
I'm sure you guys remember the 500,000 pageview special, which was my Top 45 songs of all time. It turns out that I really did miss a lot of songs looking back at it, I don't necessarily agree with how I ranked some songs. So I kind of want to do it over again, except this time with 100 songs since there's way too many I'd miss if it was only 45. The top of the list may end up being somewhat similar since they're still the best of the best. But there are a bunch of songs I want to add in. So yeah. This is something I want to do and will do if I have the time, which I do.

7. Hit 45 Songs Of The Year So Far
I'm still contemplating whether or not I actually want to do this. It's basically like what I did last year where I select the Top 45 songs of the year so far for the Hit 45 Chart. I don't know if I feel up to it this year, which is why I'm still thinking about it and not 100% sure yet. But if I do do it, it will come after everything that has already been listed (hence why it is closer to the bottom).

8. America's Got Talent Recaps/Reviews
I'm a huge fan of the summer show America's Got Talent. It's a really fun show that I think would be fun to do recaps/reviews for. That would mean I have to do them every week, but I can try. If you don't know the show, I suggest you look it up and maybe watch it. We're still in the auditions currently. But I really want to do some recaps and reviews and I think it'd be fun. We'll see.

9. Random, Fun Posts :)
If I'm ever bored during the summer, I may do some random fun posts. I don't even know what they would be about (which is why they're random). But I may do a few during the summer.

So this (I believe) is everything that I need/want to get done during this time I have free. It seems like a lot, but I'm sure I can get some things done relatively quickly. That is all I have for you guys today and I will see you the next time I post (which will hopefully be later this week with the Song Wars results).

So I'm hoping that very soon, I can post an update post where I discuss everything that's going to happening with this blog and my plan with it. Now that I'm out of school, I have a ton of time to do things for this blog. But yeah, I'm hoping to have an update post for you guys tomorrow. New Entrants
~ Yuck. More Selena Gomez was the last thing this countdown needed. Kill Em With Kindness is really not that much better than Hands To Myself. At least she actually sings in this one as opposed to whispering. But the whistling after the chorus is beyond annoying. We are four singles into this album and looking at them long-term, none of them are actually good. I actually forced myself to skim the rest of the album to see if they were ever any moments of light and shockingly, there was. I really hope Me & The Rhythm is the next single if there's going to be one. That one is actually pretty good. But when it comes to Selena Gomez, it seems that nothing can top the infectious 2011 hit, Love You Like A Love Song, which will probably forever be my favorite song from her. She came close to topping that with singles from Stars Dance (i.e. Come & Get It, Slow Down, etc.), but didn't quite get there.

~ Last we heard from Sia was I believe 2015 (last year I guess) when Elastic Heart was unfortunately stranded on Hit-Bound and never made it on to the countdown, which sucks because I liked that song. She's here this week with Cheap Thrills featuring the artist I've long awaited a comeback from, Sean Paul. Cheap Thrills right off the bat is nothing extraordinary from Sia, not like Chandelier was when that first came out. This one is a lot more radio-friendly and while that's certainly not a bad thing, it's not necessarily the best of Sia. That's my only criticism with this song. Aside from that, Sia does a really nice job on the vocals and I think the song was well written simply being about how you can have fun without money, which I can agree with in a way. Sean Paul did a flawless job on his verse as usual. I'm usually never disappointed with anything he does. Overall, I do like this song, but I don't think it'll stick with me in the long run the way Wild Ones, Titanium, and even Chandelier have.

~ It's possible that my official guilty pleasure of 2016 has debuted this week in the form of Meghan Trainor – Me Too. Last year I'm not sure if I had one, but my guilty pleasure from 2014 was without a doubt Nicki Minaj – Anaconda. I enjoyed that song as wrong as it felt. With Meghan Trainor's new single, I don't know what it is but I just find Me Too to be a really catchy song. Her vocals really aren't any better than they usually are. It's probably that chorus that I can never get out of my head. It's got me saying, "If I was you, I'd wanna be me too," at the most random moments ever. I haven't necessarily had good history with Meghan Trainor music, but this single is pretty damn catchy. I have to admit it. I can't make any promises as to whether or not this song will actually stick with me because I had a similar initial reaction with No, and I'm pretty much done with that song. But for now, I will just enjoy Me Too while that chorus goes on and on in my head.

Hit-Bound
~ Here is the Hit-Bound list:

  • Symon – Say
  • Ruth B. – Lost Boy
  • Charlie Puth/Selena Gomez – We Don't Talk Anymore
  • Flo Rida/Jason Derulo – Hello Friday
  • Bebe Rexha/Nicki Minaj – No Broken Hearts
  • Shawn Mendes – Treat You Better
  • The 1975 – The Sound
  • Kent Jones – Don't Mind
  • Magic!/Sean Paul – Lay You Down Easy
  • Disturbed – The Sound of Silence
  • Alessia Cara – Wild Things
  • Jacob Whitesides – Lovesick
  • DNCE – Toothbrush
  • Alesso/Nico & Vinz – I Wanna Know

~ Magic!/Sean Paul – Lay You Down Easy is not going to debut the countdown. I just can't see it happening.

~ Jacob Whitesides – Lovesick is a big step up from his last Hit-Bound song, Secrets. I actually like this one quite a bit.

~ My celebrity crush at this very moment, Shawn Mendes, is back with a new single, Treat You Better, that should definitely debut soon. That's all I'm gonna say.

~ Anything involving Nico & Vinz just has to be good. I Wanna Know is exactly that. Awesome job, Alesso.

~ Hello Friday and Wild Things both seem like songs that should've been on here a while ago, but I still think they're good songs.

~ Kent Jones – Don't Mind is straight up trash. Enough said.

Top 5 Hit-Bound Picks
1. Bebe Rexha/Nicki Minaj – No Broken Hearts
2. Shawn Mendes – Treat You Better
3. Disturbed – The Sound of Silence
4. Alesso/Nico & Vinz – I Wanna Know
5. Flo Rida/Jason Derulo – Hello Friday

Kill Em With Blurbs
~ Ugh. Bad enough we had mediocrity in the form of Kill Em With Kindness debuting, but Hands To Myself jumping back into the Top 10? That's just wrong.

~ Soooooo Work From Home is in the Top 5? Okay then......

~ Zayn Malik – Pillowtalk took another well deserved drop out of the Top 10. Now hopefully, it will actually move down farther. That'd be nice.

~ Rihanna/Drake – Work has been hanging towards the bottom of the countdown much longer than towards the top. I still really hate this song, so maybe next week will be the week where it finally leaves.

~ Yikes. Zara Larsson/MNEK – Never Forget You took quite a bit of a drop after its jump to #13 last week.

~ P!nk – Just Like Fire is finally making some well deserved jumps. Maybe next week, we can see it in the Top 10.

~ Jason Derulo – If It Ain't Love made quite a surprising drop this week. This song is getting a less interesting now, so I would definitely be okay with it leaving next week.

~ Yes, I grew back into Rachel Platten – Stand By You, and of course this is the week where it leaves. Just awesome.

~ It's nice to see that people have voted Mike Posner – I Took A Pill In Ibiza  back into the Top 10. I would love if it moves a little higher and replaces some of the mediocrity in the Top 5.

~ Something tells me we're going to have Justin Timberlake – Can't Stop The Feeling at #1 for a long while. Brace yourselves, everyone. This song will be overplayed in no time.

~ The Hit 45 Chart for this week is out! Find out if Coldplay can hold at #1 for a second week in a row and a seventh time overall with Hymn For The Weekend!

~ I'm sure by now, everyone has heard about the death of The Voice alumni, Christina Grimmie. She came in 3rd place on the Season 6 of The Voice and she was really talented. Just recently, she was shot after one of her concerts while signing autographs. Things like this just break my heart. I can't even imagine what her friends and family are going through right now. She was 22 years old and had a great life ahead of her. But of course, the gun violence is unfortunately not over as there was another shooting in Orlando, Florida at a gay nightclub. 50 were dead and over 50 were injured. This world just keeps getting worse and worse and it's heartbreaking that we still have gun violence to this day. I don't want to go any deeper into this topic because I could probably go on about it for hours. But that's just a little bit into actual news.
