Panic! At The Disco (6) – Week Of October 13, 2018

Hey guys! I've been a little stressed and overwhelmed these past few days with school and things going on in my personal life, which is why the post is out now. There will be fewer blurbs this week because I am not motivated to write a ton of them this week. But I will briefly go through and rank all of the performances from the American Music Awards last Sunday Tuesday. So that's something. No songs leaving the countdown this week. #1 Song This Week One Year Ago: Ed Sheeran – Galway Girl (1)

Biggest DROP!!!... Of The Week: Bazzi/Camila Cabello – Beautiful (–14)

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Silk City/Dua Lipa – Electricity (+19)

Blurbs! At The Disco
~ The Top 3 remains unchanged. Marshmello/Bastille – Happier is up to #4. I talked about this song in the latest episode of the Wake The Pop Up podcast, which has yet to be uploaded. But basically, the song is growing on me, but mostly because of Bastille. The production is still underwhelming. But I really like Dan Smith's voice and I like the lyrics as well since they relate to my life to some extent.

~ Bazzi/Camila Cabello – Beautiful does not seem to be doing very well. I actually like this song a lot compared to its predecessor. But seeing it go off soon would not be a huge loss. Same goes for Sabrina Carpenter – Almost Love.

~ So apparently Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson called off their engagement. I can't say I'm surprised since the whole engagement seemed kind of random and sudden. It did look like they were in love though seeing them at the latest music award shows. And of course, she has a song on her album named after Pete, which probably has no meaning anymore.

~ Because of the very few blurbs, I thought I'd just rate each of the performances from the American Music Awards this past week. If you want an elaborate review for any of them, let me know in the comments.

  • Taylor Swift – I Did Something Bad (5/10)
  • Twenty One Pilots – Jumpsuit (2.5/10)
  • Mariah Carey – With You (4/10)
  • Shawn Mendes/Zedd – Lost In Japan (8/10)
  • Ella Mai – Boo'd Up (5/10)
  • Cardi B/Bad Bunny/J Balvin – I Like It (8/10)
  • Benny Blanco/Halsey/Khalid – Eastside (8.5/10)
  • Post Malone/Ty Dolla $ign – Psycho / Better Now (3/10)
  • Dua Lipa – One Kiss / Electricity (6/10)
  • Jennifer Lopez – Limitless (7.5/10)
  • Camila Cabello – Consequences (7/10)
  • Ciara/Missy Elliott – Level Up / Dose (5/10)
  • Carrie Underwood – Spinning Bottles (10/10)
  • Panic! At The Disco – Bohemian Rhapsody (9.5/10)
  • A Bunch of People – Aretha Franklin Tribute (9/10)

Those were my performance rankings. I gave some thoughts on the awards in the latest episode of the Wake The Pop Up podcast, which, once again, is not uploaded yet. But when it is, you can listen to it on YouTube or SoundCloud. Our blog is in the "Other Blogs" tab on this site and the new episode, whenever it's uploaded, will be Episode #4.

~ 2013 Rankdown Update: For those who were interested, but haven't been paying attention, the Bottom 10 for the 2013 Billboard Year-End chart rankdown was revealed last Thursday night. The next ten songs (#90 - #81) are scheduled* to be revealed this upcoming Thursday night. So I just wanted to let you guys know where I am on that.

*Scheduled meaning it's tentative and last minute changes could happen, though it's unlikely.

    1. Also, while my Sixers didn't exactly end up as well as I had hoped in the opener against Boston on Tuesday, their home opener against Chicago last night they were pretty good.

The Flyers, on the other hand, ugh. To just put it easy, we've given up 31 goals in seven games, which is pretty telling of how nonexistent our goaltending has been.

  17. Hitbound List (part 1):

    Halsey - Without Me
Alec Benjamin - Let Me Down Slowly (Debut)
Pitbull/Theron Theron - Free Free Free

    Shawn Mendes - Nervous
    Camila Cabello - Consequences (Debut)
    Benny Blanco/Halsey/Khalid - Eastside

      Delete
    4. Nervous is boring AC crap and Without Me is just not good in any way, shape, or form.

      Delete
    5. They were both on the survey so they’ll probably debut next week on your bday weekend.

    6. Hitbound List (part 2):

Twenty One Pilots - My Blood
      Tiesto/Dzeko/Post Malone/Preme - Jackie Chan
      Alex Aiono - Big Mistake
      The Struts/Kesha - Body Talks
      Jason Derulo/David Guetta/Nicki Minaj/Willy William - Goodbye
Lady Gaga - I'll Never Love Again (Re-Entry)

    7. It's my birthday weekend next weekend too.

So I'm going to color code and give a quick review of the Hitbound songs this week:

Without Me (green) - Not Halsey's best but still a good song. Better than Alone.
Let Me Down Slowly (green) - I didn't like this at first listen but has really grown on me throughout the week. I like the unique sound of it.
Free Free Free (blue) - Song is alright but Pitbull has done a lot better
Don't Leave Me Alone (green) - 1000x better than Friends. That's all that matters and the song is really catchy.
Nervous (green) - This is probably an unpopular opinion but I like this song better than Lost In Japan
Consequences (blue-red) - I don't hate the song, but it's really not very interesting
Eastside (green) - This needs to debut already it's one of the most popular songs out right now.
There's No Way (green) - I like the song but this is coming from someone who liked I Like Me Better and Issues
Breathin' (blue) - It's way better than God Is A Woman but not as good as No Tears Left To Cry
My Blood (purple) - Their best song since Stressed Out. Hopefully it gets some success.
Jackie Chan (blue) It's catchy but not really that great.
Big Mistake (green) - This song gets better with every listen.
Body Talks (orange) - This one gets worse with each listen. It's super annoying and I've never liked it.
Goodbye (green) - Not near his best (which was It Girl) but it has definitely grown on me.
I'll Never Love Again (red) - Usually I either love or hate her songs. Unfortunately this one is the latter.

  31. I have been diagnosed with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and my doctor has given me Seebri Breezhaler, it's an inhalation powder 44 micrograms. I take it once a day in the morning. It's a great help to breathing, it's a new medicine on test, 10 out of 10 from me! But still yet i was told it has no cure for it. I was fed up to nearly take my life until my son saw a post of a lady who testify that there's a cure for copd and she was diagnosed with this disease for 8 years before she came arrow a website of an Africa clinic. Which provide natural herbal herbs to cure copd and she purchase it through online. My son purchase their copd herbal remedy on my behalf and give it to me to use with the instructions given on how to apply it, when i applied it as instructed i was totally cured of this deadly disease within 12 weeks of usage. I advise whosoever reading my testimony should visit www.solutionhealthherbalclinic.com and seek for your solution, You also can email at solutionsherbalclinic@gmail.com.
