Top 10 Songs: Avicii

As you probably know, record producer and DJ Avicii died today and I believe the cause is still unknown. I knew he had some health-related issues, which is why he retired from touring in 2016 I believe. But this was just unexpected to me and I find it heartbreaking, especially with how young he was. He was only 28 years old. I've heard a lot of music from different DJs and producers and Avicii was definitely among the best. He was extremely talented and a lot of artists in the world of EDM looked up to him. It's a shame that there are people out there that don't know who he is because he was excellent at what he did. He was definitely taken too soon.

So with that, I've decided to do a quick Top 10 post where I will be counting down my Top 10 favorite songs from Avicii. I haven't done a Top 10 post since the passing of Chester Bennington, but I feel like now is an appropriate time to do one for Avicii. Selecting ten songs wasn't that hard since he only had two albums and a couple EPs, so I was able to squeeze in all of my favorites. But despite that, I could tell he had so much potential. It's such a shame to see him go so soon because he really was amazing and very talented. So without further ado, here are my Top 10 favorite songs from Avicii.

So there you have it. Those are my personal Top 10 favorite songs from Avicii. I'm still heartbroken about his death and I can only imagine what his family is going through right now. But his music will live on and hopefully it will continue to inspire others. Rest in peace, Tim Bergling. You will be missed.

"He said, one day you'll leave this world behind. So live a life you will remember." – from The Nights.

  5. Yeah, already heard about this, but this was really abrupt. I didn't know much from him but the picks I do know, I'm glad were here.

Also, to whoever it was last page that said the Celtics would keep the Sixers from making it past the second round... I wouldn't be so sure about that, as right now they're kinda getting their butts beat by the Bucks halfway through the third quarter. Yeah they do have a 2-0 win in the series against them so far but that might be a worry for them down the road.

    1. Yeah, that was just a bad night for them and I think Milwaukee finally learnt there lesson after the first two games. But that was just one game.

I also wouldn't be sure of the Sixers Heat matchup, as the Heat still have a chance if they can win there next game. If they lose, they still have a chance, since we have seen teams blow 3-1 leads (*cough* Golden State)

  19. Here it goes again: the state of heatbrokeness. I had it once too back in June 2016 when Grimmie died and that Orlando shooting. Now it’s less worse because only 1 death occurred. Now I’m worried for my 14th birthday as another death of someone major (let’s just say Betty White).

    1. I highly doubt you've heard the actual worst songs released this year, Personal is no where near as bad as you are making it out to be compared to the actual shit music out there this year.

      Delete
    2. Nicki Minaj - Anaconda is worse that Personal, so to Get Ugly, Erase Me, and Touch My Body.

      Delete
    3. @WAMB10 Why? Because it has too much swearing and dirty topics?

      Delete
    4. @Chase Your not missing out on anything amazing. It's just another untalented guy singer who wants to be hot but sounds way too pitchy.

      Delete
    5. Let's be honest, Gummo and Gucci Gang are worse than just about anything this year.

      Delete
    6. swegawaffle: I said I never heard of him.

      Delete
    7. I have never heard this "Personal" song, but just from looking up the lyrics it doesn't sound too bad.

"Like yeah she gone mess with you head
Oh yeah and she'll flirt with your friends oh yeah
Make you wish you were dead
Everytime she moves on she says
      (Don't take it personal)
      (Don't take it personal)
Every time she moves on she says"

You call that worse that THIS?

"N***as iffy, uh, Blicky got the stiffy, uh
Got the blicky, uh, drum it holds fifty, uh
      (Scum Gang!)
      Pop these n***as like a wheelie n***a, you a silly n***a
In the hood with them billy n***as, and them Hoover n***as
You run up and they shooting n***as, we ain't hooping n***a
No KB, you a loser n***a, up that Uzi n***a
On the stoop, crills in my draws, your girl on my phone
She wanna fuck but keep her clothes on, I only want the jaw
Man that's really all I use her for, I kick her out the door
I don't want her, you can keep the whore, she fiending for some more"

What you said has to be a joke because there's really no competition for which is worse.

      Delete
    8. @Parker Good point, but lyrics don’t mean everything. I find that the guy’s voice is too pitchy.

      Delete
    9. WAMB: You always hate a song for literally no reason other than "it's not kid-friendly" which is a terrible excuse to make. Not every song is immediately bad because it has swearing or talks about sex and other dirty topics, it's called being an adult, which aren't you 18 by the way?

      .: Yes, exactly.

Parker: That looks like GUMMNO is it not?

Sweg: Considering we're talking about a girl who acts like a 10 year old whose too scared of swears and dirty topics, lyrics mean almost everything to her.

      Delete
    10. I legitimately have no idea where WAMB gets her music taste from, whether it's the garbage bin or the shelf without the good material. I mean, who only stans for pop girls of the mid-to-late 2010s? Plus, she said the only song from before 2010 she loves is A Thousand Miles. I know I should respect opinions, but that's just bad.

      And yes, that is Gummo.

      Delete
    11. Maybe she would fit well into that garbage fire you people call "Pulse Music Board" except she doesn't have any of the snark or sarcasm as some of those trash heaps have.

      Delete
    12. Everybody settle down there, I'm not happy right now!!!! All of you. And swegawaffle, his name is not @Parker, his name is Parker.

  21. So of course the Flyers lost to the Penguins in Game 6. That game started off promising, but ultimately they couldn't carry through. At least I'll be going to the Sixers game for my birthday tomorrow! Even if they lose, hopefully they'll be able to close it out.

Also RedDog, watch out, because your Celtics lost against the Bucks again in a Game 4 that came down to the last play. Watching it on SportsCenter at the moment and yowch that must have sucked.

    Ke$ha - Woman
Fall Out Bou - Hold Me Tight Orr Don’t

I’m so glad that they didn’t remove Let You Down.

    1. Pretty much, but I'm not too surprised since Woman was never a huge hit elsewhere. And it's sad because it deserved much better. :/

    2. Woman technically went too late. It flopped like 2 months ago.

But it's still a good song in my opinion.

  32. So the NFL Draft is beginning very soon. Obviously the Browns will get the first pick being 0-16 and all, but the Eagles will be last since they were Super Bowl champions. But was just watching Draft Central on NBC Sports Philadelphia. Also, it's being held in AT&T Stadium, where the Cowboys play :P

Lastly, I got to see the Sixers win the playoff round live in Game 5 on Tuesday. That was a good round.

  33. Just getting home. Perfect timing because the Falcons are now on the clock. I wonder who will we get?

    1. I actually think it’s pretty good. I think they sound quite nice when singing together. But that’s just me.

  43. Okay, so I'll be working tomorrow morning yet again. I'll need somebody to cover the countdown for me once again.

And anyone other than Chase, please.
