New Entrants
~ Levels is most definitely not Nick Jonas' best song. But it's good. I really do like it. Just not as much as I loved Jealous and Chains when they first debuted. Hits 1 tends to overplay Nick Jonas songs so they'll probably do the same with this one.
~ My initial reaction to Elle King – Ex's & Oh's was not the best. I wasn't necessarily that into it. However, repeated listens to it this past week allowed me to grow more into the song. Overall, it's catchy. We'll see how well it does. It'll probably just end up being one of those songs that's kind of just there as a filler.
~ Shy Carter – Bring It Back unlike Ex's & Oh's was catchy from the first listen. I'm not necessarily sure if he's a singer or a rapper, or maybe both. But in the end it doesn't matter because this song is hella catchy. So for the meantime, I'm enjoying it.
~ Who remembers the obnoxiously slow Say Something from A Great Big World at the beginning of 2014, I believe? Well these two guys are back this time with Hold Each Other, another song full of meaning about loving who you wish and all that. While I like it because it's a meaningful song, it's also pretty catchy. I would like to see this one do well.
Hit-Bound
~ Echosmith hosted Hit-Bound this week.
~ Carly Rae Jepsen – Run Away With Me unfortunately left Hit-Bound this week. I hope this isn't the end. *sniff*
~ As the weeks go on, I continue to lose interest in Like I'm Gonna Lose You. It may turn red within the next few weeks.
~ Maroon 5 – Feelings is also starting to fade away on me.
~ Icona Pop – Emergency is still here....
~ As usual, here's the Hit-Bound list.

~ As usual, here's the Hit-Bound list.
- Nico & Vinz/Bebe Rexha – That's How You Know
- Andy Grammer – Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah)
- Omi – Hula Hoop
- Meghan Trainor/John Legend – Like I'm Gonna Lose You
- Echosmith – Let's Love
- Alessia Cara – Here
- ZZ Ward – Love 3X
- The Weeknd – The Hills
- Robin Thicke/Nicki Minaj – Back Together
- Becky G – Break A Sweat
- Pitbull/Jason Derulo/Juicy J – Drive You Crazy
- Walk The Moon – Different Colors
- Icona Pop – Emergency
- Maroon 5 – Feelings
- Ellie Goulding – On My Mind
Top 5 Hit-Bound Picks
1. Ellie Goulding – On My Mind
2. Robin Thicke/Nicki Minaj – Back Together
3. Walk The Moon – Different Colors
4. The Weeknd – The Hills
5. Becky G – Break A Sweat
Baby Baby Blurb It Back
~ Zedd/Jon Bellion – Beautiful Now lasted a short, but sweet 3 weeks on the countdown. A few months on Hit-Bound is not equivalent to 3 weeks on the countdown. Seriously Hits 1. You got some nerves kicking that song out this early.
~ I don't think we got rid of enough trash this week as songs like Thinking Out Loud, Sugar, Good For You, Manana, and Cheerleader are all still here.
~ R. City/Adam Levine – Locked Away is now in the Top 10. Things are clearly starting to get better around here. Maybe within the next month, Want To Want Me, Talking Body, Uma Thurman, and maybe even Shut Up and Dance will be out of the Top 10.
~ Hits 1 must really like Shawn Mendes right now as Stitches just got promoted to the Top 5.
~ Pentatonix – Can't Sleep Love came on every time I got into my car as "Ear Poppin' Music". It was actually quite annoying. I just really don't like this song or the group.
~ I rarely ever hear Tear In My Heart yet it's still in the #10–#12 range.
~ I've officially grown into Phoebe Ryan – Mine. But I still think her voice is kind of annoying.
~ 5 Seconds Of Summer – She's Kinda Hot is slowly fading away on me.
~ The Hit 45 Chart for this week is not out yet but I'm hoping to finish it within the next 24 hours.
~ I apologize for the lack of blurbs. Nothing really happened this week.
~ Most Missed Countdown Song Of The Week: Swedish House Mafia/John Martin – Don't You Worry Child
My Top 5 Picks
1. X Ambassadors – Renegades
2. R. City/Adam Levine – Locked Away
3. Little Mix – Black Magic
4. A Great Big World – Hold Each Other
5. One Direction – Drag Me Down
Hitbound

Walk The Moon-Different Colors(BLUE)
Icona Pop-Emergency(ORANGE)
Maroon 5-Feelings(GREEN)
Ellie Goulding-On My Mind(GREEN)
Lots of new songs, so let's start with the worst being Pitbulls new song. We last heard him from fun which did not do so well, except I liked that one. Drive You Crazy is a huge step down. Pitbull doesn't go with the beat, and Juicy J doesn't even more. The chorus is also plain awful.
Becky G has ANOTHER song that isn't that special. After failing to debut with 2 other songs(Can't Stop Dancing, Lovin So Hard), and having one song debut but only lasting a few weeks(Shower), she is back. Let's see.
Walk The Moon returns with Different Colors. I like the song, I just kinda grew out of it for now.
Another Returning artist Ellie Goulding comes with On My Mind. It's pretty cool. The beat is cool. I like it for now.
Finally we have The Weeknd with his brand new smash, The Hills, which was released before CFMF. I am really enjoying this song. It's one of The Weeknds sexy jams.
Love 3X is officially bad.
That's How You Know has been here for a while now. Same goes for Feelings
Hitbound is going south right now. There is more Blue/Red songs entering.
GOOD GOOD GOOD GOOD TO BE ALIVE RIGHT ABOUT NOW

ReplyDeleteSomething's new out on my blog now! Love ya fam :)
ReplyDelete- G1GB. ✌️
I knew Style would leave this week after taking that big drop.
ReplyDelete3 out of the 4 debuts I don't care at all about, while 3 of the 4 dropouts I really loved.
The Hills, On My Mind, and Like I'm Gonna Lose You should debut on the countdown.
I'll bet that before I turn 17 Wildest Dreams will hit #1.
I'd love to see Photograph and Can't Feel My Face change spots, just to keep Shut Up And Dance out of #1.
Why is Manana jumping to #30?!
Could Stitches reach #1?
Cool For The Summer will fade out of the top 10 by the end of the month.
Has Pentatonix ever have a song on the countdown?
It looks like its the end of Sugar. You will be missed.
God damnit I'm sick of See You Again. This song was not designed to survive overplay and the Furious fans need to let it go. Oh See You Again, how I wish to never hear you again.
Why did they get rid of Run Away With Me from hitbound? We need it on the countdown.
Best song on the countdown is Wildest Dreams, while the worst song is Manana.
Why do you hate See You Again?!
DeleteIts one of the most overplayed songs on the radio today, and normally most songs that are overplayed I don't hate, or get annoyed of all the time. The problem is this song was not designed to survive overplay at all. I'll admit its good, its sufficient, its a quality song, but Jesus Christ people, let it go away already.
DeleteSee You Again being overplayed is a good thing it's my tied-for-favorite song (with Sugar)
DeleteSongs like Sugar, Uptown Funk, and Love Me Like You Do are overplayed songs that I do love, but See You Again was not supposed to survive overplay at all. I just never want to hear See You Again again.
DeleteI CAN'T FEEL MY FACE WHEN I'M WITH YOU BUT I LOVE IT YEAH I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteHow was Bad Blood red last week and turned turquoise this week?
ReplyDeleteHow was Something's Gotta Give pink last week and turned green this week?
How was Lean On yellow last week and turned pink this week?
Why is Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah) in blue?
Why isn't Sugar or Thinking Out Loud in orange?
Why is Can't Feel My Face in red?
Is She's Kinda Hot old?
Why didn't you grow on Downtown?
Why is Drag Me Down not in purple?
How is Stitches not in your top 5?
How do you like Gibberish so much?
How do you hate Manana so much?
Marvin Gaye is already close to getting old?
And why is Ex's And Oh's in green?
Here we go:
Delete1. I grew back into it a little.
2. Same as #1.
3. Same as #1 and #2.
4. It's only okay.
5. Uma Thurman is worse. Thinking Out Loud isn't even in the Bottom 5.
6. Can't Feel My Face has been red for the past few weeks. It's just not good and mediocre at best.
7. No it's in blue which means it's okay.
8. Downtown is annoying and I don't see myself growing into it at all because I'm trying my best to not listen to it at all.
9. Renegades, Locked Away, Black Magic, and Hold Each Other are better.
10. It's just not good enough.
11. Gibberish is catchy.
12. Manana is annoying.
13. Marvin Gaye has been around here for months now so it had to happen eventually since I was never over-the-top in love with it.
14. Did you even read the entrant review for this song?
Overall, do you need a review of the color-coding system? Because half of these could've been answered simply from the color-coding system.
Now I read the entrant review.
DeleteHey Adrian can you add my blog to your "Other Blogs" list pretty please?????????
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! A new post is out on my blog too! Enjoy :)

New Music Alert: Beyonce/Naughty Boy/Arrow Benjiman - Runnin' (Lose It All)
ReplyDeleteAlso whats everyones opinion on Audien/Lady Altre-blah-blah - Something Better?
I love it!
Some Hitbound stuff.
ReplyDeleteOmi's new song Hula Hoop isn't as good as Cheerleader.
Nico and Vinz I'm surprised that Thats How You Know is still in Hitbound. I've haven't heard it on Hits 1 at all.
Pitbull's latest single Drive You Crazy is good but not his best. Heard it once before on his Pitbull channel.
Not as thrilled with Weeknd's - The Hills. I don't he can ever top I Can't Feel My Face.

Deletewhats all rhw hupe with the hills ITS SO BLAND
ReplyDeletewhats all the hype with the hills Its So Bland
ReplyDeleteIt's very dark and catchy. It's what I like better from The Weeknd rather than his upbeat songs.
DeleteYaaaaay you added it thank you so so much!
ReplyDeleteI like The Hills but not as much as Can't Feel My Face.
ReplyDeleteBecky G - Break A Sweat is good but I don't think it will make the countdown
Adrian how could you possibly hate Sugar?! It's like, my favorite song right now
ReplyDeleteI tried to like it. I really did. But it just didn't work. I didn't want to hate it. But it's just so annoying. I can't stand Adam Levine's falsetto in this song.
DeleteWell that's what makes it good
DeleteGuess who where the weeknd was born?
ReplyDeleteCanada
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
So I love the Weeknd
DeleteBbDude they say hes canadian on the countdown all the time i alr ady knew
ReplyDelete#1 Song This Week One Year Ago: Meghan Trainor- All About That Bass
ReplyDeleteTell me how you guys feel!!
Note to the Blogger- All About That Bass is NOT the worst song in the world!! It's Meghan's best song!!!
OMG! RGF ISLAND IS OFFICALY MY FAVORITE SONG!!! FETTY WAP HAS NEW SECOND BEST SONG!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHe's probably the worst artist ever in the music industry. No joke. I've never heard anyone with this many terrible singles in a row.
DeleteWait so RGF Island sucks too?
DeleteWhatever! IM JAMMING
No the worst artist in music history is 5 Seconds Of Summer
DeleteWell, I listened to previews of Jet Black Heart and Fly Away and almost threw my iPad across the room
She's Kinda Hot should not even exist and it is complete garbage and so is the whole band. October 23 will be the day of the most crappy music of the year releases.
5 Seconds Of Summer are pretty good in my opinion.
DeleteBut some of the worst artists ever include Fetty Wap, Cee Lo Green, Lil Wayne, and Miley Cyrus.

ReplyDeleteEveryone! REJOICE! My 1,000 pageview special is here!
ReplyDeleteI suggest you check this website out, since it tells you how often a song is being played on the radio, as well as if it's gaining or losing airplay. It's basically an indicator of how well a song will do in the coming weeks.
ReplyDeleteNow, they remove a song from the chart once it's lasted over 20 weeks (unless they're in the top 10), and they become recurrents, so you are looking at the top 50 non-recurrents. There's an archives page that documents earlier charts, all the way back to 5/12/11.

ReplyDeleteHey guys I started a blog the link is www.countdownmania.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteAlessia Cara is hosting hit bound this week.
ReplyDeleteJust thank god it's not Echosmith
DeleteHere's The List Of Songs In Danger Of Leaving:
ReplyDeleteBea Miller - Fire N Gold
Selena Gomez - Good For You
Jason Derulo - Cheyenne
Tori Kelly - Should've Been Us
Jess Glyne - Hold My Hand
Omi - Cheerleader
Major Lazer/DJ Snake/MØ - Lean On
Flo Rida/Robin Thicke/Verdine White - I Don't Like It, I Love It
None of these song on the list aired this week and I will be upset for Cheerleader leaving.
All Time Low - Somethings Gotta Give is also in danger becaus it aired only once during this week.
I got another BABY! This time, her name is Aaliyah.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you have so many babies??
Deletelike the singer?
ReplyDeleteNo you silly
DeleteHere, different colors, hula hoop, back together, let's love, good to be alive, on my mind, the hum, the hills, drive you crazy, and easy love could all debut. Wildest dreams will definitely be number one
ReplyDeleteI just heard The Hills on Hits 1 for the first time.
ReplyDeleteThey just used the standard clean version, no extra edits like KIIS-FM, and they cut off the song after the last chorus, leaving out the outro. So nothing really surprising.
#SadThisSongIsSmashing
The Hills is the definition of Song Goals.
DeleteThe Weeknd is the definition of Artist Goals.
Enough said.
SEVENTEEN THIRTY EIGHT!! ONE MORE DAY TILL THE RELEASE OF FETTTY WAPS ALBUM!

Hitbound debuts:

Selena Gomez - Same Old Love
A song from George Ezra that I don't really like.
They're all bad except for Same Old Love.
Um.. The George Ezra song is called Blame it On Me?

Are you serious?? She's Kinda Hot at #38?!
DeleteI doubt Style and Uptown Funk re enter.
DeleteNEW MUSIC ALERT: DISCLOSURE/LORDE - MAGNETS
OH NO NO NO NO! SAME FOR THE HILLS. IT BETTER NOT DEBUT! CHEYENNE BETTER STAY LONGER. IT'S CERTAINLY POSSIBLE FOR A 7 SONGS LEAVING THIS WEEK BUT THOSE SONGS ARE TOO GOOD TO LEAVE!
DeleteParker, She's Kinda Hot didn't air much this week and I thought tou hated that song. Graham, sometimes, a re - entry happens randomly so you'll never know if there's a re - entry. Durp, The Hills has aired a lot during the week and Cheyenne didn't have any AirPlay, BTW, most of the songs in my exit predictions are old.
DeleteWe know re-entires occur randomly often but if your prediction was based off of airplay, why are you predicting random re-entries?
DeleteStyle and Uptown Funk aired quite a bit.
DeleteNow that you predicted that She's Kinda Hot will be at #38, it should leave soon.
DeleteAnd then Let's Love will be in my Bottom 5!!
DeleteT25 Awesomeness is OUT! Can X Ambassadors hold with number 1 to break the "record: or can Hailee Steinfeld, Walk The Moon, 5 Seconds of Summer, and even Ellie Goulding pop in to stop it? Find out at
