The Billboard Music Awards will be on tomorrow night after over a month of promoting it. From all the promotions, it seems like there will be a lot happening. I will most likely post a review of it. New Entrants
~ First up we have Ms. Meghan Trainor who brought us almost a similar copy of the shitty song from last year, All About That Bass. It's called Dear Future Husband. She tries very hard to create this throwback sound for her songs and I personally don't like when artists do that. I think the background instruments sound bad and her singing is only average. I don't see this one being as popular as the other two singles from her.
~ Next we have Magic!. If you don't remember them, they brought us another shitty song from last year, Rude. Unlike Dear Future Husband, however, I'm actually enjoying this one. I feel this band is full-on reggae and that's why I'm not a HUGE fan of them. But I feel their music gets better as the singles come along. This song is downright catchy. I'll admit it. But like Dear Future Husband, I don't see that much success coming from this song.
I Need Your Blurbs
~ Wiz Khalifa/Charlie Puth – See You Again will most likely be our next #1 song. I can definitely see it happening.
~ Andy Grammer – Honey I'm Good clearly can't get anywhere over #6. It's like, #2 on iTunes (last time I checked).
~ I'm getting annoyed that the good/decent/starting to get old songs are moving to the bottom of the countdown, which pushes up all the bad ones like The Weekend, Geronimo, and Nobody Love.
~ Imagine Dragons – I Bet My Life has spent longer in the bottom third of the countdown than it has in the Top 10. Can it just leave already?!
~ I keep forgetting Hozier – Take Me To Church is still on the countdown. Don't leave yet! Stay with us for just a little longer!
~ David Guetta/Nicki Minaj – Hey Mama needs to keep moving up! Don't stop here!
~ I did not think Ella Henderson – Ghost would've gotten as popular as it did. I just saw it as being a countdown filler. Goodbye Ghost. Although you're old now, you were good for a long time.
~ Fifth Harmony – Worth It is on Hit-Bound. But I don't like how Hits 1 removed Kid Ink. He adds so much to the song. Just why Hits 1?
~ Taylor Swift – Bad Blood is also on Hit-Bound. I really like it as of right now. It is super catchy. And I love Taylor Swift's singing!
~ Pitbull/Chris Brown – Fun is on Hit-Bound. I've been quite a bit of fun with this song recently. Super catchy song. I'm loving it so far.
~ Tove Lo – Talking Body is like, my jam that I have on repeat! I love it! It's so catchy! "If you love me right, we f**k for life! On and on and on!" Those are like, my favorite lines from the song.
~ Alright guys. It's the moment you've all been waiting for! It's time for my review on Maroon 5's new single, This Summer's Gonna Hurt Like A Motherf**ker. Those who haven't heard it can listen to it on YouTube. Overall, I have to say, I'm speechless. This isn't necessarily the kind of song I would expect from this band. But I just have one thing to say........I think I have found my summer jam of 2015!!! I'll admit, the lyrics are crap. But the beat is just so catchy that I don't even care about the lyrics. I really like this song. It's obviously not Maroon 5's best. But it's really good. So yeah.
My Top 5 Picks
1. Wiz Khalifa/Charlie Puth – See You Again
2. Tove Lo – Talking Body
3. David Guetta/Nicki Minaj – Hey Mama
4. Shaggy/Mohombi/Faydee/Costi – I Need Your Love
5. Cody Simpson – New Problems

Question: Will you upload the music video for Bad Blood if you do a BBMA review? Taylor Swift is supposed to perform it!!! (If not available, check the next best thing: Dancing with the Stars season 20 finale.)
ReplyDeleteWhat's gonna happen is if the music video is uploaded by Monday, when I will most-likely do my review, then I'll post a link to it so you guys can see it.
DeleteAnd I don't watch Dancing With The Stars, unfortunately. :P

Hot 45 Chart is out! See if Fifth Harmony and Kid Ink held onto number one for a second time in a row.
ReplyDeleteNo!! Goodbye and all of you have left hitbound
ReplyDeleteGoodbye leaving didn't surprise me. It had debuted and left AT40 during the time it was on Hit-Bound.
DeleteAnd All Of You unfortunately fails to debut for the second time.
Both of the Goodbye songs were kind of popular on each countdown except for the VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown. Peter Thomas/Betty Who-All Of You actually played on Venus if any of you did not realize
ReplyDeleteCorrect me if I'm wrong, but is this the first time a T-swift song has been on Hitbound from 1989?
ReplyDeleteStyle was on Hitbound, I think. At least for a while. Shake It Off, Out of the Woods, Welcome to New York, and Blank Space all debuted immediately on the countdown.
DeleteI can't remember, but I don't think Style was on hitboind? Or was it:.........
DeleteGood question :)
Maybe Style wasn't on Hitbound. Maybe it just floated around the Hits 1 playlist for a while...
DeleteHmm.
Im pretty aure style debuted directly into the countdown I REMEMBER it was that song that got a bunch of airplay then debuted like a lot of airplay thats why it was so high it debuted at #26
ReplyDeleteIM SURE NOW STYLE DEBUTED DIRECTLY INTO THE COUNTDOWN!!!!! it was a song that hits 1 premiered than it debuted like steal my girl!!!!!!!! BOOOM U ALL ARE WRONG

I'll have to look at the rest of the BBMA's tomorrow. All I know is that Bad Blood is a huge step forward for T-Swizzle if you ask me.

34. Hang in there, you masterpiece of a song! (purple)
33. This song's okay. A clever concept, but it burns out easily. (blue)
32. OH (turquoise)
31. It's not really a horribly horrible song; it's honestly a bit overrated, and itseems like it only got popular because it was by Taylor Swift. (turquoise)
30. I can see moderate success for this song, maybe top 20. (green/blue oblivion)
29. I heard Where Do Broken Hearts Go on Hitbound. It still had Zayn in it. Surprised but not surprised. (yellow)

18. This song probably won't get any higher than this. (green)
17. Like the remix kept All of Me from #1, I can see the remix keeping this from the top 10. (green)
16. Olly and Travie have left the top 10 for good…I'm talking about the song, not the artists themselves. (pink)

Aaaand aside from two more things, that's about it for this review!
The first thing? I would like to pay my respects to Mr. B.B. King. In case you don't know who he was, B.B. King is considered to be one of the most influential blues guitarists of the 20th century. Go to SiriusXM channel 70, and you'll hear the type of music B.B. King played. I wholeheartedly encourage you to listen to his music. Thank you, B.B. King. As OneRepublic said on Twitter, you "were a living legend and a total bada**."
The second thing? It's been about a year since I've been actively listening to the Weekend Countdown. So thank you guys for being awesome! :D
With that being said, Thatchy is OUT! PEACE!

Obviously Where Do Broken Hearts Go has Zayn in it. Their entire album FOUR was recorded AND released before Zayn left the band.
DeleteYeah, I knew the entire album FOUR was released in 2014. Part of me was thinking they'd redub some lines for the single version of Where Do Broken Hearts Go because....you know...
DeleteI think I missed Bad Blood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcIy9NiNbmo
ReplyDeleteThe music video was the most amazing music video I have ever seen! The picture and quality of it was really good and I like how she counted all her fellow famous friends in.
ReplyDeleteThat Bad blood video is the best music video I've ever seen. Oh and guys, my new favorite song is.....
ReplyDeletePitbull/Chris Brown- Fun
