Biggest DROP!!!: Maroon 5 – Love Somebody (-20)

Biggest Jump: Demi Lovato – Made In The USA (+16)

We have two new entrants and two re-entrants. One of our two re-entrants left the countdown a week ago and the other left over a year ago. Welcome back Enrique Iglesias – Turn The Night Up and Olly Murs – Dance With Me Tonight. There was a big gap between when Dance With Me Tonight left and when it re-entered. There were Olly's other songs, Troublemaker and Heart Skips a Beat. I like Dance With Me Tonight. After some time on Hit-Bound it should be able to last more than one week. Olly Murs never disappoints me. However, Dance With Me Tonight is not good enough to beat Love Me Again in My Top 5 Picks.

It's been a while since we heard from Mr. Travie McCoy and Mr. Jason Mraz. Together they made Rough Water which I really like. I love Jason's part in the song. Anything with Jason Mraz has to be good. It just HAS to be. The Neighbourhood – Sweater Weather is an irritating song that annoyed me every time it came on when I was listening to Hit-Bound. I know I say I like songs after a while when I used to dislike them. (Like Britney Spears – Work B**ch *) But I will never say this song is good.

* Britney Spears – Work B**ch really isn't that bad. The instrument sounds are good. Britney's singing is not. I actually want you to not kick it out.

How is Awolnation – Sail still in the countdown? It gets more annoying every week.

John Newman – Love Me Again and Bonnie McKee – American Girl are Back Together *.

* The song after Newman and McKee is Jesse McCartney – Back Together. John Newman and Bonnie McKee are Back Together. Get it?

Maroon 5 – Love Somebody is following in Robin Thicke – Blurred Lines' footsteps.

Welcome to the Top 10 MKTO – Classic and The 1975 – Chocolate.

Swedish House Mafia, you will be missed. If you guys were still in the countdown, I would have put you in My Top 5 Picks.

I thought Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – Thrift Shop would never leave the countdown.

I wish I could put Lana Del Rey & Cedric Gervais – Summertime Sadness in My Top 5 Picks. But there are too many good songs.

Now for a mini Hit-Bound Review.

Imagine Dragons – Demons is now on Hit-Bound. Do you think it'll beat Radioactive at its own game? Maybe. I keep thinking Fall Out Boy – Alone Together will My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark. Probably not. We'll see how it goes.

Hunter Hayes – I Want Crazy is also on Hit-Bound. Looks like we got another country song our way. It will be a weird coincidence if the same week Florida Georgia Line leaves, Hunter Hayes enters.

We also have Linkin Park & Steve Aoki – A Light That Never Comes. I find Linkin Park as an OK band. They're not my favorite or my least favorite. But this song got me more into them. Expect them to debut this countdown.

I find Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – White Walls annoying and worse than Thrift Shop. All three of their most played songs are better and I hope this doesn't become a fourth.

It appears fun. – Out On The Town has left Hit-Bound. It was actually pretty good. I thought it would have been fun.'s new hit after Some Nights left the countdown.

Goodbye Flo Rida ft. Pitbull – Can't Believe It. I'm glad your chance at the Weekend Countdown is gone. Pitbull does not belong in rap music.

I'm afraid to say the following songs have left My Top 5 Picks and may never return.
  • Eminem – Berzerk
  • Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up
  • Bruno Mars – Gorilla
  • Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding – I Need Your Love
  • Fall Out Boy – Alone Together
  • Enrique Iglesias – Turn The Night Up
My Top 5 Picks
1. John Newman – Love Me Again
2. Olly Murs – Dance With Me Tonight
3. Labrinth ft. Emeli Sandé – Beneath Your Beautiful
4. Jesse McCartney – Back Together
5. Travie McCoy ft. Jason Mraz – Rough Water

Katy Perry (3rd Week) – Week Of 9/21/13

I'm sorry to say that I've cancelled my Hit-Bound review. I'm sorry but it's too much trying to listen to the Weekend Countdown and Hit-Bound. But I did make a new blog about album reviews. I'm basically reviewing albums. I only have one post now. But I will add more as soon as possible. Check it out at www.latestalbumreviews.blogspot.com.   4. Paramore – Still Into You (#7)
  3. Zedd ft. Foxes – Clarity (#6)
  2. Imagine Dragons – Radioactive (#2)
  1. Katy Perry – Roar (#1) [3rd Week at #1]

Biggest DROP!!!: Bruno Mars – Treasure (-24)

2nd Biggest DROP!!!: Tie between Robin Thicke ft. Pharrell & T.I. – Blurred Lines and One Direction – Best Song Ever (-23)

Biggest Jump: Bruno Mars – Gorilla (+13)?

Finally!!! Fall Out Boy – Alone Together and Demi Lovato – Made In The USA have been on Hit-Bound for so long. I'm glad they finally debuted. Alone Together is a little more appealing than My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark. You guys remember MKTO's Thank You exit and Classic entrance on the same week. That's what happened here with Demi Lovato. Heart Attack's exit and Made In The USA's entrance on the same week.

Lana Del Rey – Summertime Sadness is appropriate for this time of year. It summertime sadness because summer is coming to an end. Tomorrow is the first day of fall. I know. It's summertime sadness. Britney Spears – Work B**ch is terrible. Britney Spears is just good at making bad music. Kick it out of the countdown. Enrique Iglesias – Turn The Night Up was better.

I think Bruno Mars – Gorilla had the biggest jump. Spyder Harrison never said the biggest jump of the week. Bruno Mars also had the Biggest DROP!!! with Treasure.

Songs that had the shortest amount of time on the countdown so far this year: Tie between Rihanna ft. David Guetta – Right Now and Enrique Iglesias – Turn The Night Up.

I thought John Newman – Love Me Again and Bonnie McKee – American Girl would stay together like they were last week. Instead they moved to 2-digit numbers where if you swap one digit with the other, you get the other number. For example, John Newman is at #23. If you swap the 2 and the 3, you get #32, which is where Bonnie McKee is.

Yesterday, I heard Fall Out Boy – Alone Together and Demi Lovato – Made In The USA along with 2 of our old #1's that had a long amount of time on the countdown. It was Maroon 5 – Payphone and fun. ft. Janelle Monáe – We Are Young.

As an expert on Hit-Bound music, I can say that Flo Rida ft. Pitbull – Can't Believe It has almost no shot of getting into the Weekend Countdown.

Spyder Harrison didn't announce any of the guest DJ's.

Man! I started to really like Jason Derulo – The Other Side.

Imagine Dragons – Radioactive and Robin Thicke – Blurred Lines kind of reminded me of Carly Rae Jepsen – Call Me Maybe and Maroon 5 – Payphone. Imagine Dragons and Carly Rae Jepsen are the #1 king and queen. After their time was done at #1, a new song jumped to #1. (And it wasn't Maroon 5 or Robin Thicke.) It was Katy Perry both times with Wide Awake and Roar.

Karmin – Acapella at #45?! That's just as bad as Katy Perry at #1.

Thank you Hits-1. Thank you for playing the full version of John Newman – Love Me Again. Really appreciated. :D

Tomorrow I will be making a post where I will be rearranging the countdown in the order I like. More information on that tomorrow.

Trying to pick My Top 5 Picks will be hard.

My Top 5 Picks
1. John Newman – Love Me Again
2. Labrinth ft. Emeli Sandé – Beneath Your Beautiful
3. Bruno Mars – Gorilla
4. Fall Out Boy – Alone Together
5. Eminem – Berzerk

Biggest DROP!!!: Jason Derulo – The Other Side (-27)
Biggest Jump: The 1975 – Chocolate (+17)

Bruno Mars
now has his 4th song from the same album, Unorthodox Jukebox. It's called Gorilla. It's not any better than Locked Out Of Heaven or When I Was Your Man. But it is better than Treasure. This song is a little interesting. But it just debuted on the countdown randomly. It wasn't on Hit-Bound last week. I know because I did a review on it last week. (Not this blog. I have a different blog for Hit-Bound.)

Lorde – Royals is boring at first. But I slowly got into it. I first heard it on Alt Nation's Alt-18 Countdown. Just like Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up. That was also on the Alt-18 Countdown before the Weekend Countdown. Anyway, I occasionally get Lorde confused with MS MR. Their voices sound kind of alike.

The first thing you noticed is probably all the Yes' and No's next to each song. Those are my opinions of each song. Yes means I want it or would like it to remain in the countdown. No means I want it to leave the countdown. I'm pretty flexible. You should see that I have more yes' than no's. It's pretty straight forward what they mean.

You can probably tell I'm annoyed that Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding – I Need Your Love never got to reach the Top 5. It is a good song. It's better than most of the songs currently in the Top 10.

Poor Robin Thicke. Never had a chance to get to #1. Imagine Dragons kept every other song away from the #1 spot.

That's what I'm talking about! Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up in the Top 10. It might make it to #1.

I bet Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – Same Love will take over #1 since it's at #3. Plus, their other songs have had a chance at chance at #1.

Goodbye Daft Punk – Get Lucky. You will (not) be missed. You know what Daft Punk song should debut? Lose Yourself To Dance. I love that song. If it debuts it will definitely reach #1. It's better than Get Lucky.

You remember how in my first post Olly Murs – Troublemaker was my favorite song on the countdown. The next week, it left and John Newman – Love Me Again debuted. (Macklemore was the guest host that week. I hope he wasn't the one who kicked out Olly Murs). But it's like John Newman became the new Olly Murs.

They shortened John Newman – Love Me Again too much. It's bad enough they don't play the bridge between the 2nd and 3rd chorus. But skipping the 1st verse as well as the bridge. Now it's too short. People should be able to hear the full song. Also, when I sing along to the song on the radio. I would love to sing to the whole song and not just the same chorus over again and one verse. Please play the full song! :(

Jason Derulo – The Other Side is moving all over the countdown. #12 –> #20 –> #45 –> #14 –> #17 –> #44. Can't it just stay in one spot?

Karmin – Acapella, welcome to the bottom of the countdown.

Last week's #'s 13, 14, 15, and 16 turned into this week's #'s 15, 16, 17, and 18.

Phillip Phillips – Gone Gone Gone was one spot away from having the biggest jump of the week. Unfortunately, The 1975 – Chocolate beat it by one spot.

Spyder Harrison likes Eminem – Berzerk. Glad I'm not the only one. :)

Awolnation – Sail is really shooting for the longest amount of time on the countdown.

Spyder Harrison made a mistake because he said Enrique Iglesias – Turn The Night Up moved down 8 spots when it really moved up 8 spots. I was a little confused at that moment.

My Top 5 Picks
1. John Newman – Love Me Again
2. Labrinth ft. Emeli Sandé – Beneath Your Beautiful
3. Eminem – Berzerk
4. Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up
5. Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding – I Need Your Love
(6. Bruno Mars – Gorilla)

Katy Perry (1st Week) - Week of 9/7/13

I'm annoyed! I'd rather have Icona Pop - I Love It at #1. That's how bad this song is. Voters please move Imagine Dragons back up to #1. Or any other song, I don't care. This is the worst song on the countdown. Before we get to this week's Fresh 45, here are the songs we're saying goodbye to this week.

  • Twenty One Pilots - Holding On To You (#26)
  • fun. - Some Nights (#30)

25. Karmin - Acapella (#12)

12. Zedd ft. Foxes - Clarity (#4)
11. Capital Cities - Safe and Sound (#11)
10. Lady Gaga - Applause (#10)
  9. Paramore - Still Into You (#9)
  8. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Mary Lambert - Same Love (#18)

  6. Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding - I Need Your Love (#6)
  5. Maroon 5 - Love Somebody (#5)
  4. Florida Georgia Line - Cruise (#15)
  3. Robin Thicke ft. Pharrell & T.I. - Blurred Lines (#2)
  2. Imagine Dragons - Radioactive (#1)
  1. Katy Perry - Roar (A.K.A. Worst Song EVER!!) [#3] {1st Week at #1}

Biggest DROP!!!: Icona Pop - All Night (-19)
Biggest Jump: Bruno Mars - Treasure (+22)

Somehow I just knew Katy Perry - Roar would take over the #1 spot. This song got to #1 the quickest in the history of the Sirius XM Hits 1 Weekend Countdown. I'd rather have Lady Gaga at #1.

I'll start with our best new entrant this week. That is Eminem - Berzerk. It does sound a little crazy at first but you slowly get into it. Eminem is my favorite rapper (With Macklemore coming in a close 2nd). I knew this song would jump from Hit-Bound to the Weekend Countdown. I even heard it on the Wutchuwant Countdown.

Our next best entrant is Enrique Iglesias - Turn The Night Up. The guys voice sounds so sexy during the verses. It's very interesting when you hear it a couple of times. This was also on the Wutchuwant Countdown.

Our final entrant is Phillip Phillips - Gone Gone Gone. I like this song as well. But I heard it a million times before it debuted the countdown. So I am a little tired of it. It had also jumped from Hit-Bound. Now if only Fall Out Boy - Alone Together and The Wanted - We Own The Night could debut the countdown.

Ariana Grande hosted Hit-Bound this weekend.

This should be the end of Bruno Mars - Treasure. It doesn't deserve the biggest jump of the week.

I don't understand how Labrinth ft. Emeli Sandé - Beneath Your Beautiful isn't in the Top 10. I remember Emeli Sandé - Next To Me. It never went higher than the #24 spot. But this is different. Beneath Your Beautiful is a beautiful song. It deserves to be at #1.

#s 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, and 11 held their spots.

Train ft. Ashley Monroe - Bruises finally broke the #22 spot.

I don't know if this happened to you. But when Selena Gomez - Come & Get It finished, Spyder Harrison said something about John Newman. Then he said something like, "Down 3 spots to #31 here's John Newman with Love Me Again ." And the song started with the chorus and then went to Verse 2. It basically skipped Verse 1. That was a little bit annoying.

Speaking of John Newman, why is Love Me Again moving down? How is it going to get anywhere if it is moving down. 2 weeks ago it had the biggest jump of the week. Now it's slowly going back to its original position.

Is this the end of Icona Pop - All Night? It can't be. That song is actually good. We'll see what happens.

Why can't Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding - I Need Your Love get to the Top 5?

Goodbye Twenty One Pilots - Holding On To You. You will be missed. :'(

Zedd ft. Foxes - Clarity is becoming more interesting.

Spyder Harrison has a lot of guest DJ's. I like how the first one's voice had an echo and Spyder Harrison said, "Sounds like there's no furniture in that house."

These new entrants just made it harder for me to pick My Top 5 Songs.

My Top 5 Picks
1. John Newman - Love Me Again
2. Eminem - Berzerk
3. Labrinth ft. Emeli Sandé - Beneath Your Beautiful
4. Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc - Wake Me Up
5. Enrique Iglesias - Turn The Night Up

  3. Katy Perry - Roar (#9)
  2. Robin Thicke ft. Pharrell & T.I. - Blurred Lines (#2)
  1. Imagine Dragons - Radioactive (#1) [8th Week at #1]

Biggest DROP!!!: Fall Out Boy - My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) (-2)
I'm just kidding. I wish that could happen though.

Actual Biggest DROP!!!: Sammy Adams ft. Mike Posner - L.A. Story (-21)

Biggest Jump: Jason Derulo - The Other Side (+31)

Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child has re-entered the countdown at #42. We also have a debut from Jesse McCartney. The only other song I heard from him was Beautiful Soul. Back Together is pretty different from Beautiful Soul. (In my opinion.) Back Together is still interesting.

Uh-oh. Icona Pop - I Love It has been on the countdown too long that it is becoming not as bad as it used to be. The lyrics just make me laugh. "I crashed my car into a bridge. I watched and let it burn. I threw your stuff into a bag and pushed it down the stairs. I crashed my car into a bridge. I don't care! I love it!" They don't go together. Who would let their car burn? Whose stuff did you throw into a bag? It is also really repetitive.

Katy Perry - Roar at #3!? What is wrong with you people? That song is just annoying.

Hayley Williams from Paramore was this weekend's guest host. First of all, on the screen, her name was spelled @yelyahWilliams. Which is supposed to be Hayley backwards. There is a pattern going on. Spyder Harrison hosts every other weekend. And all the other weekends there is a guest host. If there is going to be a guest host. It should be someone good. Like Labrinth or Bruno Mars.

Like I said, Imagine Dragons - Radioactive has been at #1 too many times. Give Robin Thicke a chance. But if Imagine Dragons needs to stay at #1 in order for Katy Perry to stay away from #1, I'm perfectly fine with that. But Robin Thicke deserves a chance.

Speaking of Robin Thicke, Robin Thicke - Give It 2 U is currently on Hit-Bound. It isn't any better than Blurred Lines. But I know he has worse. Also on Hit-Bound, we have Eminem - Berzerk. As usual Eminem does a lot of screaming in this song. But it is really cool. We also have Olly Murs - Dance With Me Tonight which isn't any better than Troublemaker. However, Olly never disappoints me with his music. We also have Fall Out Boy - Alone Together which is more interesting than My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark. Now for the best song on Hit-Bound. It is The Wanted - We Own The Night. I really enjoy this song. I think it should debut the weekend countdown. Do you guys think I should do a review on Hit-Bound? I can if you want me to.

Train ft. Ashley Monroe - Bruises is really good at holding the #22 spot.

Twenty One Pilots - Holding On To You and Mika ft. Ariana Grande - Popular Song don't move very much towards the Top 10.

A good 15 songs on the countdown had just appealed to me after hearing it yesterday. And a good 20 songs on the countdown I had bought from iTunes.

2013 MTV Video Music Awards

This has nothing to do with the Hits 1 Weekend Countdown. I just thought I could talk about it. This is about the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards which took place on the night of August 25, 2013 at 9:00 ET (8:00 CT). There is a lot to talk about. There were many people either performing, in the audience, or they were nominees that are in the Sirius XM Hits 1 Weekend Countdown. Artists like Lady Gaga, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Ray Dalton, Mary Lambert, Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Robin Thicke, Bruno Mars, One Direction, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Twenty One Pilots, Zedd, and Katy Perry. There were some good performances. And then there were some not so good performances. And then there were the horrible performances. We were able to vote for the best artist to watch. Here were the nominees: Austin Mahone, Iggy Azalea, The Weekend, Twenty One Pilots, and Zedd. Now on with the performance reviews.

We started with Lady Gaga, who did bad, and then Miley Cyrus, who was horrible. Lady Gaga kept changing her outfit during her performance. She ended her performance wearing only a thong. (And a bra of course.) And her butt was showing. And she stayed like that for the rest of the night. And she was the first performance. She performed Applause. Now for the worst performance of the night. Miley Cyrus performed We Can't Stop in the worst way possible. First of all, I didn't like what she was wearing. Second of all, she wasn't good when it came to singing. There were all these people in bear costumes around her. I bet so many people stopped watching it after they saw Miley. She was that bad. Eventually, Robin Thicke joined in with Blurred Lines. Robin Thicke's performance was good...               ...if Miley Cyrus wasn't grinding on him!!! She ruined Robin's performance. Miley Cyrus lost her mind. I never really liked Robin Thicke - Give It 2 U. But when Robin performed that song, it was better than his Blurred Lines performance. The longest performance of the night came from Justin Timberlake, who performed for like 20 minutes. He performed pretty much all the songs I knew by him. Including Mirrors. He even performed at one point with *NSYNC. Everyone is saying that was the best performance of the night.

We had a performance from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Mary Lambert with Same Love. That song has an important social message. I find this song extremely important and I do think it is a good song. Bruno Mars had performed his song Gorilla. It was one of the only good performances. I think his one of his other 3 most popular songs (Locked Out Of Heaven, When I Was Your Man, and Treasure) would've been better. But it was still good. We also had performances from Drake and Kanye West. But I want to get to the last performance. (A.K.A. My 2nd least favorite performance.) Katy Perry performed her song Roar. I don't like the song. So I obviously didn't like the performance. But if you liked the performance and you disagree with me then stop reading this. I didn't understand the performance. She was in this boxing ring. I don't even remember most of her performance. All I remember is that I didn't like it. Now for the award reviews.
